"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them...Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate: and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree brigeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit."
Matthew 7:12-18
Why do you believe you are amongst the "few" when you do not live in perfect accord with the Word?
"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
Matthew 5:48
(all quotes are from the Sermon on the Mount)

Because while we try to be perfect, we never can be. If we could be perfect, there'd be no need for a Savior. That's why we have forgiveness and grace.

I can't and won't speak for other Christians. What I will say is that '' I am sorry and I will try to correct the mistake so it doesn't happen again '' It sounds to me like you are bitter ? You quote scripture like a well read person. So why the bitterness ? Were you wronged ? A prayer not answered ? A person taken from you ? I seek no excuses. I was made in HIS IMAGE and will try to live that way. You seem to miss something. GOD sent his SON into the world so that he might die for OUR SINS so we might have ETERNAL LIFE. Are you perfect ? Do you not try to be better ? Why judge us Christians . It was never stated that Christianity would lead to a perfect life on earth. We live for the ETERNAL. We could be plucked from this earth at any time. We pray that '' his WILL be done, not ours ". We don't know his plan for us on this earth.

It is nice to hear an exhortation to be perfect. We can try to be perfect. We keep improving but can never reach the limit and become perfect. Human beings are made with defects. It was never the intention of God, I believe, to create perfect beings. If that was so why did He not correct the situation when he saw the first sin being committed? He merely punished humans to sweat, toil and struggle for living. However if some one makes an excuse and covers his failings on the premise that Humans are imperfect, without making any efforts, that is not acceptable and is indeed regrettable.

It is a good thing, that there are people who are striving to live a life of unconditional love, acceptance and forgiveness, as Jesus taught; even though at times they may fail, they are willing to get back up and try again.
People striving to follow Jesus in this way don't make excuses for their mistakes - they know they have done wrong, only too well! The question is, can they get back up, and try to make the world a better place? This is the goal of the Christian and the ideal of the Kingdom of God: that we may be one people under one God, despite our differences in race or religion.

The truth of Christianity is there is no excuse. And all including those who would be hypocrites that think themselves holy are not. Christians accept the fact that they have sinned and are unworthy. It is other religions who believe that they are capable of pleasing God within themselves that tend to show the hypocritical nature of man. While browsing the bible please read Romans Chapter 6 It shows that a Christian is not a cop out we are required to go beyond the letter of the law. But not because we are a slave to law there is no penalty but because by faith the sinful man is dead on the cross with Christ.

If we "Christians" say we are perfect, we would be trying to take God's place! Cause only GOD is perfect! We try to be perfect but to achieve perfectness we have to be like HIM! And we are, still, simple humans. How about you, do u think you're perfect?

Are you telling us your perfect?
I know I don't excuse myself. I don't say, "Well, I'm not prefect so, to bad". being human we sin. Repentance is required for sin. for true repentance, not only do you have to be sorry; but also, repair anything repairable and not do it again. What you saying is use ignorance as an excuse; but, that doesn't work and I don't do that.
