The simple fact that the physical body can be easily
damaged? So we fear for our needs? Like what we will drink, and what we will eat?
And fight and war out of fear there won't be enough?
And attack others with our criticizng and complaining, to keep them at a distance, out of fear we might get hurt emotionally?
And our basic weaknesses cause us to go into denial, and create
all sorts of abberations like self-righteousness, and false prides,
like sexism, racism, nationalism, and religous intolerance?
YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK!

is this another example of "liberal media"? or is it just a former 'believer' seeing he was duped and writing a tell all book to warn others like he was?

Book: Bush Aides Called Evangelicals 'Nuts'
White House advisors sought the support of conservative Christians but mocked them in private, writes a onetime administration official.
By Peter Wallsten, Times Staff Writer
October 13, 2006

WASHINGTON — A new book by a former White House official says that President Bush's top political advisors privately ridiculed evangelical supporters as "nuts" and "goofy" while embracing them in public and using their votes to help win elections.

The former official also writes that the White House office of faith-based initiatives, which Bush promoted as a nonpolitical effort to support religious social-service organizations, was told to host pre-election events designed to mobilize religious voters who would most likely favor Republican candidates.

If the word of God is so powerful then there should be atleast one bible somewhere here on Earth to let us know that word is real. Kinda like a sign of the unseen creator like the sun in sky.

Do you think that God created us or did we create God? If it is possible see if the answer can be based on thought with explanations and not on biblical references. If you cannot thats fine.
What do you think?

lk 20;38.he is not the god of the dead ,but alone god of the living ,for to him all men are alive [in him shall all men live/]
when we die it is sad that men dont know the spirit accends strasight into heaven ,into the light ,but not all men some of thier own belief are borne into the darkness ,as they of stubborn belief believe.
it is for the dead not accended into the light we have fun-erals ,some are so attatched to thier flesh ,that words alone cannot convince them they are dead ,but words must be said ,of love and duty ,thus the dead in spirit may yet realise life eternal
the dead must be comforted ,those living in belief are allready home ,thus any prayer service for the trully dead must offer hope ways and means unto salvation due unto all equally
they especially must be told to ask god in prayer to help ,let them know god is love and needs but to be asked and help is realised
if prayer is too poetic and irrelivant the unbeliever ,remains in delusion he is yet living flesh

Yestereday I cranky and easily upset. I barked when I shouldn't have.
Things are a little emotional right now in this household.

(I know it's not a question, but I truely feel the need to apologize)

Don't laugh St Paul converted you know?
I think islamicists would go into denial.
Atheists would stand on their heads
some church groups might be singing "Alleluia"I suppose.
Do you think Bush and the Yanks would forgive him?
(Assuming he's still alive)

For bridging gaps between the two cultures, trying to make more room for civilized, neutral dialogue between westerners and Muslims, I want to know what are the fears and concerns that the west have towards Islam so that we can refute these misconception in an honest , correct and simple way.
I believe western media has only been showing one side of the truth and that there maybe other sides that non-Muslims still need to know about Islam in a way to change traditional "stereo types" that has only been leading to more conflicts between both ends.

Is Islam a religion of terrorism? Then why has it been the most up growing religion in the west "Europe & USA" in the last few years? Why there are still some people at the west who make Islam their first choice? What are the facts that westerners will be shocked to know about Islam? All these questions I am sure the western media has never been open enough to answer, we want to answer them for the sake of a more peaceful life.

According to Buddhism, you can't have any attachments if you want to reach enlightenment. Does that mean that if you're happily married with a loving wife and kids and a great job that you can kiss enlightenment goodbye?

Surely someone in that situation would be happier and healthier than someone in solitude with no 'attachments'?

I am 15 years old, and I am a new convert to the LDS Church. I am the first and only member in my entire extended family. I know Kolob is a star, but what exactly is its significance? Is it the Celestial Kingdom? I read the portion in the Pearl of Great Price, but I still don't understand.
