God is described as both (a) loving & (b) vengeful (to the point of eternally torturing his creatures in hell);

As both (a) responsible for evil (like hardening Pharoah's heart) & (b) not responsible for suffering & evil (free will);

As both (a) healing diseases & (b) allowing people to perish;

As both (a) promoting justice & (b) promoting forgiveness;

As both (a) promoting peace & (b) promoting warfare;

As (a) revealed in the Old Testament, (b) revealed in the New Testament, (c) revealed in the Quran, (d) revealed in the teachings of Baha'u'lah, (e) revealed in the teachings of Krishna, (f) revealed in the teachings of the Buddha, (g) revealed in the teachings of Wicca (h) revealed in the teachings of native American shamans, (i) etc.

These represent an enormous number of often mutually exclusive characteristics! The images seem to serve the person/culture more than offer something universal.

If we cannot agree on God's description, why would we assume ANY described God exists?

To behave in a decent manner out of sheer choice or to do so via threat of punishment (i.e. eternal damnation)...it seems to me those who do good deeds under threat of punisment are actually less moral. Your thoughts?

The King James bible the oldest complete written bible was transkated to english language by about 50 scholars in the 1600's these scholars wanted to know the truth. Do the research for yourself. If you think about it everyone always goes off of what they think....but know one really cares about what the Lord thinks. The ONLY way to find out the truth is throuugh the reading of the word of GOD. the BIBLE......People, READ for a doctor can only become a doctor by studying, a lawyer by studying, a scientist by study so the ONLY way the the Lord God of Israel talks to us is by His word and no other way. READ, study. and pray for understanding, becasue no matter what ANYONE thinks the word of God is the ONLY truth there is. And EVERY man and womans dead and alive will know that God is God in a time to come.

I understand that the bible says that people shouldn't have sex outside of marriage yada yada yada. I also understand that when people have sex and get pregnet, it is their own fault, BUT at the same time, if the pope allowed birth control, the FACT is that there would be FEWER abortions preformed every year. Isn't that what everyone wants? I mean what's worse? Hundreds of thousands of people dying every year because abortions, AIDS, starvation, etc... or just allowing birth control. I understand that some unfortunate section of the bible probabily says something bad about it, but, is it that big of a deal?

In the answers to my previous question 2 people wrote me that Russia is Gog. One of them called it Soviet Union and told me that in Ezekiel 38-39 it's written what will happen to it. I want to know if this idea is somehow common among Christians and how literally you take it. I would also like to know if this is taught by some specific denomination.

There is nothing Godly about Christmas and Christ HATES it; so how can christians celebrate it? Who taught them to do so? Certainly NOT Christ or his apostles.
A true Christian would be one who follows Christ's Way, does what He did, loves what He loved and hates what he hates - he would not imagine or theorize on what Christ would like or not like.

my daughter had an ultra sound done it showed that her baby girl was 4 pounds and 3oz.my daughter is 36 weeks.doctor says baby should be bigger.and she is small now she has to go for stress test.to moniter the baby.please pray for them both,thankyou
