Continuation of a conversation over coffee, wanted other views. If people believe in God, a presence bigger than themselves that they can't see they just know it to be. Why are they so quick to shoot down other unseen things. Ghosts and auras and other like things. I guess you had to be there for the conversation but that is the jist of it. Thanks.

Any attempt to make sense of it leads to contradictions. If it is so important, why isn't it clearly taught in the Bible? Why shouldn't an objective student of the doctrine conclude that it was created by the church to hide biblical inconsistencies about the nature of Christ behind a shroud of mystery.Dont you think that faith is just the incapability of reasoning?

I see many Christians snap on a little question that doubts their God.

I see many atheists snap on the smallest insult.

I see Muslims being called terrorist and gays being called an abomination. Yet, they almost always manage to give an understand/loving/caring answer.

I don't mean to generalise with this question, it's just something I continue noticing on this forum, and I wondered if somebody could explain it to me.

I have studied the prophets of many religions and would love to learn more about Mohammed. Could you please tell me about his deeds and teachings?

I have been reading where a Methodist Church in California married two homosexuals.
Shouldn’t they be teaching their members that this is not right with God?
In USA, church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy and urge governments to recognize same sex marriages. Even churches that condemn immorality have tolerated religious leaders who have sexually abused children. What, though does the Bible teach? It plainly states: “Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men. Will inherit it god’s kingdom [1cor 6:9,10] Even government officials cover up such conduct.
Are we becoming a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah?

If you are saved that means you have already been judged? If you believe that you are save the only thing that you will be saved for is fuel for the fire.

Some people have a big problem with the fact that I don't capitalize the word god. It offends their religions and their sense of proper punctuation. I say, since I am not a member of your religions, I shouldn't be held to that standard. If you're a Christian or whatever, by all means, capitalize god if you please, why should anyone else

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

God is not a vain God. These words are not here just for jokes and laughs and for people to make there own decisions. This is exactly why Adam and Eve are dead today becasue they were hard headed and didn't listen.

I read so many lies on this thing, I figured I would put a little bit of real truth in here. If anyone can prove different let me know because I really would like to know the truh.

Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man

This is a serious research question so give references if you have them. I have no objection to any citation from any religion, historic research, or even mythology and wiccan tradition. Just keep your response brief. I can do my own reading. The older the citation the better.

For Bible types, this is pre-Abraham, pre-Noah and so it is also pre Jehovah. No sermons please.

If you have just crossed this topic in your thinking, reading or hearing please give me a short recall.

When you die you either go and sit with Jesus, or are accepted back into the cosmic consciousness or whatever, or, you don't exist. Either way I don't see how the experience could be bad. On the one hand you're experiencing a higher level of awareness, or you don't exist at all and can't think about anything. All I am saying is that it's not like your going to be brooding about being dead for the rest of time.

The only people who should possibly fear death, in my opioion, are those who believe in hell. (I don't because I can't imagine a logical purpose for it. Banished to hell for eternity? Hoe does that help anyone?)
