Because most law makers are adulteress in their lives, so they would not make complication for themselves,
besides there is no committement in 3 some sex.
On the other hand, polygamy means to take a wife, and financially
require the man to be responsible, which many men do not want.
If since you ask such a question, you probably know the law does not always make sense.

Not really. The only real reason I can think of for making polygamy illegal is that polygamous groups are often seculded from society (due to their illegal practices) and therefore start practicing polygamy at a younger age - like young teens. I only have a problem with it if someone was not old enough or mature enough to make the descision for themselves.

Because something is legal doesn't make it morally correct. The bible is against homosexuality, and a threesome is adultry, or maybe just fornication, but still frowned upon. These are the problems with society today. We've strayed so far from the 10 commandments. Perhaps that is why the 10 commandments are no longer allowed in a court in the US. It's a sad commentary for the world today.

Polygamy in a sense refers to marital matters referring to the law and religion....but in the same sort of sense it is practiced sexually which is completely different. Polygamy is often used culturally, and for religion in many countries and it serves it purpose for society...while i can see what u mean as using 3-some -sex as the same thing but it is ultimately different because it is used for sexual pleasure and is only of the essences of a physical matter..not a religious, or political matter to society

The law prohibits making a legally binding marriage contract with more than one person, not having sex with more than one.

Actually, you need to check town, county, district, state laws. There are a lot of them from 100 years ago that they forgot about. Wearing a miniskirt is illegal in some places
