You are still judged because of God's fairness in judgment and also because that once you're saved, your salvation is only as good as your commitment to God. If you fail, you regress into sin and fall out of fellowship with Him, therefore you need to "go back and do your firstworks" over again as the Scripture says.

Matthew 24:13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.
So you have to endure to the end of this worldly system before you can sit back and say. Yes, I was saved.
It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark. And even then he would not have been saved if he refused to go inside.

The Lord Jesus Christ took your place. He died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. He did it all for you. All you have to do is believe and trust in that. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: You must trust in Him while you are stiill alive don't wait until it to late and you die. When you believe the Holy Spirit seals you unto the day He returns. Ephesians 4: 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Laylo Q,
By faith. It's trust.

We trust God to save us, as Jesus did. That's why at Gethsemane He prayed, because He was acting as a man, without the foreknowledge but the prophecy He preached to go by, that the Father would raise Him from the dead. The bible tells us that He emptied Himself, to "strike a tent" (A military term used in the Greek, and a soldier strikes a tent to dwell in the camp of the army), in human flesh, and dwelt amongst men.

So He had the faith, as Romans 3 states, and God did raise Him from the dead. God kept His promise to Him, so we trust God to do the same for us!

I guess you don't believe what the Bible says.. If not How can I help make you understand. Yes christian have been judged, found guilty, and executed.. All that was done on Calvary's cross.. Jesus paid for our sin. Now we (christians) no longer live but Christ lives in us.. Peter told us that since we should know that we HAVE eternal life.. Not will have but have it NOW... All this is Biblical if you don't believe it I'm sorry about that but that doesn't mean that it isn't there and isn't true... Jim

I think I am saved because I have done that which I have been called to do and if I was being judged today I believe God would open the gate for me. And being saved is no different from being saved from drowning by wearing you lifejacket.

I would advise all to read Matthew 10:22 and 24:13 before responding negatorally to this question!

No, Christians are saved from the effects of sin. We aren't saved from ever sinning again, and we haven't yet been judged on our works, but we have been saved through Jesus Christ. That's all.

Jesus' death on the cross paid the "sin price" for all of us who believe in Him. That means He has taken the judgment away from us. Just those who deny Him will be judged. I hope you like it warm.
