Heathens, like Ghandi? Scientists? People who fall in love and have sex without getting married? People who created graven images of the Lord? People who cussed? What's you guess?

History books and the Bible are BOTH translated from Ancient manuscripts. The Bible is just critized because it has the super natural attached.
Historical events cannot be scientifically proven. They are not recreatable nor repeatable.

Sorry I know this is not a question but lets think a little about this people. I know a Christian thinking for herself, hard to believe.

The Tunisian authorities have launched a campaign against the Islamic veil worn by some women to cover their hair.

Police in Tunisia have been stopping women on the streets and asking them to remove their headscarves and sign pledges that they will not go back to wearing them.

Under a ban introduced in 1981, women in Tunisia are not allowed to wear Islamic dress in schools or government offices.

The President, Zine El Abidine Ali, described the headscarf as a sectarian form of dress which had come into Tunisia uninvited. Other officials said Islamic dress was being promoted by extremists who exploited religion for their political ambitions.

I'm confused. I've been raisied in a chrristian household. I know more about reeligions of all kinds than the average person. But I just don't get hell. Assuming Christianity is true, why hell? It doesn't seem fair to be punished for making the wrong choice. I mean isn't the point of bein punished to learn? It doesn't make sense that a loving God would make an eternal hell. Especially when some people die @ 21 an some people die @ 101. According to such beliefs, once we die, if we've chosen wrong, we're skrewed. There's no way to fix it. Wouldn't any human being fall to his knees in the presence of such a God? On earth theres s much uncertanty, but when all that is stripped away, would not every human repent? And if so, why would such a loving God not show them forgiveness. I mean, we have the chance for ultimater forgiveness on earth, but once dead is that chance over? That doesn't seem fair in any way.

(Please don't answer with anything about the religion being wrong.)

Hi. I'll try to spare too many details. I'm having a really hard time in believing what I have been taught all my life. Being a Christian. I did a little research today and discovered to my surprise that out of the 6 billion people in the world.....amazingly 1/3 of us are Christian. That just amazes me that so many people know God. And I'm not saying that they follow His word 100% or are great Christians, but it amazes me that so many people claim that as their religion. I'm still having difficulty though and now I don't know why. I want to believe....but I'm having such a hard time. Is there anybody who can help me?

How does it work? It's waiting until you marry to know how bad your partner is in bed? Or it does involve being bad on your honeymoon because you have absolutely no experiense whatsoever? Shouldn't abstinence programs support divorce, or are they the principal cause of divorce?

Here in Brasil free sex is very common, and has been growing a lot since ever! (yes, redundant, i know, but true) and the government managed to keep control of STD's! The number of new cases of AIDS infected people here is inverse proportional to the investments of the government's health care. I'm surprised that the biggest economy of the world cannot do the same

You guys all say "if you keep that up you will burn in hell" or you are committing an unforgivabe sin and you could go to hell" or just "you going to burn in hell" do you have ANY idea how non-believers interpret it? Well let me first explain what a non-believer is. It is somone who does not believe in hell, or heaven for that matter. Dont you realize it doesnt scare people, or affect them spiritually at all. It just seems like your trying to insult us by saying you dont like us. Hell has no meaning to non-believes, you might as well say that we will get gored by a unicorn if we dont follow your bible. Quit trying to be a judge passing out death sentences.

It seems like awhile has passed since the 'Harry Potter is Evil' fad was in it's heyday. Even my Mom, who believes everything she hears on the Christian radio station, has finally admitted that she was wrong about Harry Potter, and I haven't heard of anyone getting their panties in a bunch about it recently.

Has the fad passed, just like the 'Pokemon are Evil' fad passed? And if so, what is the latest popular book, television series, or movie that Christians have decided to hate?

What causes these fads? Is it just that Christians know they should be fighting SOMETHING, but they don't know what exactly, so they just attack whatever is most popular at the time so as to make some kind of a point to themselves? Who is the person who selects the subjects of these fads?

well it's really my Father-in-law who goes skeptical about the whole thing. He's a Catholic and NEEDS to start acting more like one than continues his impeding about our [me and my husband] ways of worshiping The Lord, Jesus Christ. Remember, religion will NOT save us. it's our FAITH in him. so what's the big deal? there's this whole drama going on right now because we neglected his invitation of going to church together on Sunday, instead we wanted to worship God at OUR church, which he disapproves of. What to do...? he isn't talking to us, he even got into a car accident because he was so UPSET. *sigh* =T .....
