You know, when I share my faith with a non-believer, I do it in a kind and gentle way, I ask them if they have kept the 10 commandments, and go through a few of them and see how they will do on Judgement Day. I don't make the jugments, I just ask questions, let them make the judgments, and then I tell them what the bible says, and I give them the gospel. No one is ever offended when I talk with them, as I only share my faith with people that are open to talking about spiritual things, and most people are. If they arn't, I just give them a gospel tract, and as they leave, I say a prayer for them and move on.

I always find the statement or threat of hell, as such a rude comment that I automatically tune out the remainder of whatever message a Christian may have to offer me.
Threaten me....and I'm not listening to you anymore! I don't know why they don't understand that concept of humanity. Jesus taught "love"....not "hatred" of our neighbours. Some Christians just don't seem to get the concept of their own faith.
I'm not a Christian....but I do see the irony in some of the Christian's ideas of "saving us from (hell??)".

I have never told anyone that they will go to hell. I am not God it's not my Job to tell anyone that.
I don't Judge anyone. i was once a sinner. my life was going downhill. I wanted Love i never had love from my Parents so i went looking for love in the wrong places. so you see i have no room to tell anyone they will go to hell. I can only say for me anyway Jesus saved my life. I wish you peace and I hope you don't Judge all Christians.

I certainly have a bent to flow off on tangents, so i'm going to objective to maintain this as short and candy as available ;) i do no longer think of God damns you to hell purely for being a non-believer and that i'll tell you why. interior the Bible, it even says that the residing house of God has many "roofs". Ergo, the word of God is provided in many perfect varieties, and not stricly Christianity or the different specific faith. And besides, in spite of the fact that faith you prepare and in spite of the fact that your holy e book or rede, whether it incredibly is the word of God, it became written via the hands of adult men. All faith is incorrect because of the fact we ourselves are incorrect. so because it incredibly is my opinion (and positively, critiques are what it continuously comes all the way down to) and somewhat some will disagree, merely as others will agree. additionally, bear in mind that diverse human beings comprehend scriptures in differing techniques. How I interpret issues will needless to say selection with others. yet it incredibly is why we've lots of folk examining those texts, even on the contemporary time :) i'm hoping i've got spoke back your question, yet merely in case I went overboard with my very own critiques, i'm going to state it merely: Whoever incredibly desires forgiveness will settle for it. that does no longer advise you will no longer have a value to pay, yet in concerns of damnation, i do no longer in my view sense it has plenty to do with your faith, because it does with who you're as a man or woman. desire that helps!

Whoa! Hold on. Not all Christians come on like that. And believe me, many Christians today were once non-believers like you, including me. I believed in God, but I did not think of myself as a current sinner and had a difficult time comprehending that. I was paying my bills, working, taking care of business -- a sinner? Get real!
Eventually, someone who did NOT judge me helped me to understand what being a sinner really meant and provided me with a clear understanding of natural man's sin.
If you ask a Christian whether or not your lifestyle or behavior would be approved of by God -- then expect to receive honest answers. However, we are supposed to love one another and in part that means providing non-believers with information that will help them understand God's precious gift to the world -- Jesus Christ, our Savior. The gift of salvation is free. Salvation cannot be bought or sold -- all it requires is that a person believe that Jesus died (as a sacrifice) for our sins (all people, past and present and future) . . . and afte acknowledging that a person is a sinner, they repent and call out to Jesus to save their soul. The gift of salvation is so much more than just being saved. If you have questions, talk with a Christian who is not judging you, but sincerely wanting you to understand salvation.

My church doesn't encourage members to speak to others like that. We believe that unless you commit some really awful sin there is a place for everyone in Heaven. What you believe is your business.
