Its considered offensive to people that are Muslims because they do not want to hear about people who had doubts about the truth of of Islam and are no longer believers..
Apostates are people who have left a religion and have found another "truth" for what ever reason.

as long as you follow yahoo rolls and be respect full.
we are in a country who preaches free speech, so why not , don't let any body take away your rights,only truth honest discussion we can fiend the truth, but don't forget honest discussion, and problem solving discussions , not problem making discussions , and humiliating others with other believes.
