I noticed that religious people tap dance around concrete examples of blessings. My question is this, if a person was interested in joining your particular religion, state some concrete examples please of how your religion has been good to you.

I got into a car accident 5 years ago. My brother accidentally drove off the highway going +70 mph into a large tree. Not only did we live, we all walked away with minimal injuries. That is the Lords doing.

I can understand your frustration. People use the same example every time. "I am saved from hell" Blah Blah Blah. What about your life here on earth how has your religion bettered that.

My religion has taught me two very important lessons to start off with. First that I have to take care of my spirituality. That to simply state your belief and then fail to continue to study is like growing a plant only to never watter it again. It will die and so will our faith if we fail to study. Second that I have to help others in any way I can. Sometimes that can be very limitied but we do what we can.

These to things were very important to me. But they are not by far the only things I have been given by my religion. I am from Vermont but live in Wisconsin for school. I have not seen my family for 4 christmasses now. But I have not spent a Christmass alone. I have found another family who has taken me in and treated me like one of their own. That is a gift of my religion.

I have been taught that health is very important. My relgion has what is called the Word of Wisdom. It is a law of health. It talks about what is good to take into the body and what isn't. Because of this I have never smoked, drank, or done any drug. I am very blessed because of this. I am rarly sick and very active.

Finnaly, a couple years ago I really screwed up. I ended up in jail. My religion could have cast me out. But instead the excepted me back with open arms. Today they hardly see me as that person that blew it. For that I am greatful.

I hope that has helped a little. I could tell you examples of the Power of Healing and stuff like that but they are much more personal and I don't like to put them on the public page. Let me know if you want to know more.

God Bless

Let's face it...if you're skeptical, you won't accept anything a Christian has to say, because you don't want to believe. Some people don't want to believe in God because they feel they have to give up things they enjoy. But there's so much more...you can't take anything with you when you die.
Personally, when I feel the heaviness of burden, such as debt, sadness, loneliness, etc., I give it all to God and I feel great! My worries are gone. When I'm lonely, I know He is right there for me to talk to no matter what, so I'm never alone. How many people in your life do you know that love you unconditionally, and would do so forever? I only know of one.
You truly have nothing to lose. Accepting Jesus as my Savior had opened my eyes, and I try to do the best I can in this life to honor Him.
Thanks for asking.

People need to follow Jesus. To know about Jesus thats where the bible comes in. Then you find a church that teaches what the bible teaches. When the Lord blesses someone its always different for each person. I can tell you what Jesus saved me from, but would that be concerte evidence for someone. How being a Baptist has blessed me well that also brings in Jesus. Seeing how Jesus has changed someones life is a blessing. To hear people testify about Jesus is wonderful to hear. What kind of concrete evidence do you need? I am not going to tell someone Baptist is the way to go. Jesus needs to lead them to that. Follow Jesus and he will show ya.

If you ask a faith based question then you should expect a faith based answer. However if you really want to know how religion has changed someones life then you should phrase it as such.

I am not religious, but I would just like to point out that there are four ways of knowing: reason, emotion, language, and experience.

Why can't YOU accept the answers you are given? See, the problem is not the answer, the problem is you don't like the answers.

Some people are not as erudite or eloquent as you would have them be. Get over yourself.

becasue the word of God tells you that they will shut up when they are backed into a corner. Religious people believe in there own beliefs not in God's Laws

They can't provide concrete answers because their beliefs are based on faith, not facts.
