No reason to appreciate it. But no reason to become too upset about it either. Consider the source and enhance your calm.

I live in this God forsaken hell hole. Texas suck. As a whole, Texans suck. They put these lame lone stars on everything. If it's not that, it's those damn longhorns. Every young girl here thinks being a cheerleader for the Cowboys is her highest calling. They've made it slanderous to diss beef, and I truly dislike beef. You cannot find seafood anywhere here, it's forbidden like pork in Islam it seems. They all talk funny and drive like maniacs, and I swear they have to be more rude than people make the French out to be. There are hillbillies here, but in general, just a very large state that is overly proud of being idiots. Listen to the Bud Light "Real men of genius" track # 52, 'Mr. Way Too Proud of Texas Guy': http://thefuntimesguide.com/movabletype/archives/2004/10/bud_light_real.html
Describes these yahoos to a tee.

You should take anything he says as an attempt at humor. If you are offended, report him. I try not to read his stuff, knowing that he will say things like that. You need a thicker skin. C'mon, you know that no one believes that Texans are hillbillies. ;)

whynotaskdon could write an answer saying 'edsawyer is the best person on the planet and I will bequeth all of my money to him when I die' and I still would not appreciate it.
But if you really think _that_'s the most offensive thing he's ever written, you're not familiar with his body of work...

ok, i eventually see the place we are going with this. listed under are the regulations: a million) in ordinary terms toddlers living in the 50's talked approximately because it "Pop." 2) you may call any dark colored soda "Coke," aside from Dr. Pepper. 3) The term "Pepsi" ought to in ordinary terms be used in ordinary terms while ordering a drink at Taco Bell. They get mad in case you call it "Coke" there. 4) The term "soda" is okay to apply, yet is a sprint archaic. it may confer with a "Coke" of any shade or style.

I don't like that word 'hillbilly'. Nor do I like 'redneck'. Ugly words.
