The coming of Jesus signified a new covenant between man and God. The new deal was that since Jesus paid the price for our sins, all we need to do to enter heaven is to accept Christ as our Savior, repent and ask forgiveness. The people who lived before Jesus had their covenants, we have Jesus.

Hi Hazem,
I am a Muslim , but I think I can help in this. One of the confusing fact about Christianity is the Salvation thing, however , no one was able to answer this question "what happened to people who died before Jesus was sent to earth?" and this maybe come with another fact or a question which is "If jesus was sent to earth to save people by the "salvation" , then why did he come on that time in particular? why not few years before? why not directly after Adam, since the salvation idea is for the Adam mistake first place? .. but I think the answer is that THEY GO TO HELL, while I personally feel they must go to heaven since they did not witness Jesus..

No they will go to heaven, I feel that our Lord who had his son die for my sin's will look at the person not what church they go to. The Lord is a loving God. There were many very religious men and women before Jesus. They will be in heaven............

1st - faith without works is dead, so faith alone is not enough.
Before Jesus, the Jews had to obey God's Word.
When Jesus came, the Jews refused to accept Jesus as the Messiah. and thus Jews turned away from God because Jesus is One with God.

Scripture says that all Israel will be saved.
Isa 45:17 says, “But Israel will be saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation; you will never be put to shame or disgraced, to ages everlasting.”
Rom 11:26 says, “And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.”

The Word says that "Those to whom it was first preached, did not enter in because of UNBELIEF."
Jesus Christ used His personal spiritual power to reopen
the doors to Spirit, that were slowly closing due to the dim
nature of human senses.

how can a savior not save his own butt
Jesus died...
so will we
accepting this fact helps us to embrace death is part of our lives, some religions teach we will not die...we live forever..
don't use logic to understand an illogical warped and edited text
at one time it made more sense before a council of Nicea threw out what they thought to be heretical and used legislation and military to enforce one viewpoint, which the US is near, and some countries already use Sharia law to enforce thier views and beliefs

No. People who honored the old covenant were justified by their faith, just as we are.

It's religion. It doesn't have to make sense.
