They should also insist on all lessons being taught in English as non-mohommedan children have no use for arabic.

Wonder how the mohommedan schools will get around the mandatory sex exducation lessons, especially those about queers.

Rather the issue with azia_unreal79's comment about the girls leaving school as virgins. Who'd want them - shy, inexperienced and possibly frigid. I'd certainly never consider one as a wife until we were sure that we were sexually compatible and I wouldn't want any son of mine marrying a potential disaster area like that either.

Why would you send your child to a Muslim school if you are not Muslim? All religious schools have to say that 10% of places will go to people who don't follow the religion. Doesn't mean you have to send your kids there. Would you send your child to the local Catholic school if you didn't agree with Catholic teaching?

On the issue of head scarves, if the parents have decided to send their non-Muslim children to a Muslim school then presumably they will accept the uniform. Or else they would go to a different school. They can take them off outside of school if they're not Muslim. Anyway, I can't see religious Christian families sending their children to a Muslim school.

Plenty of private schools make the children wear old-fashioned uniforms with strange hats - what exactly is the difference?

So what happens in over 60 or so Jewish schools for the community of about 300,000 funded by UK taxes?

There are only two state funded schools for about 1.7 million muslims. Wearing a scarf and modest clothing is surely preferable to the short skirts and usual attire so that children can get on with the job of learning instead of the "normal" boyfriend/girlfriend activities. The results prove it.

Should nuns be forced to remove their headcovering and wear low-cut dresses with cleavage in convent schools? Lets have some reality creep into this debate please.

I have a problem believing your statement, why 10% only, if that was true, it would have been 100%, right?

By the way, Islamic schools do not force the girls to wear hijab, nor is it one of the requirments of the school uniforms. Wearing the veil in Islam is not compulsory, girls are the ones to decide if they want to wear it or not and instituitions are not allowed enforce it.

Anyways, if what u r saying is true, then I would say not fair, but again, why send the kids to Islamic schools?

I don't know why Christian parents would send their children to a Muslim school considering that they will be indoctrinated against the Christian faith or at best be forced to accept the Muslim faith, but whatever school you go to there will be rules and requirements to follow. A private school especially has the right to have a uniform dress code if they desire and most of them do. If you do not like their rules by all means do not pay to send your kids there.

I suppose that wearing a scarf in such schools is part of their uniform. Every school in the UK has its own uniform so what's all the fuss about???....Surely wearing a scarf alone won't mean you become a Muslim. Christian women too are asked in the Bible to cover their hair (Corinthians 11:5-15 )

Why not look on the positive side?... NO MORE BAD HAIR DAYS!!!!!
MORE TIME IN BED BECAUSE YOU WON'T HAVE TO SPEND AGES STYLING YOUR HAIR!
CLEANER & STRONGER HAIR PROTECTED FROM THE ELEMENTS!
LESS CHANCES OF CATCHING and INFECTING YOUR CLASSMATES WITH LICE!...

No. Would the reverse be acceptable ie Muslim children at a Christian school being forced to remove the head scarf?

Also, isn't it being suggested the government may insist that 25% of places in faith schools be opened to "other" children? C of E schools are already/have the capacity to do this.

total cricket worldwide knows that Sri Lankan cricketers have not been paid yet. So i do no longer think of this assertion discloses something new. yet genuinely Mahela has re-energized the challenge and it will positioned some added tension on the Sri Lankan board to handle the income debt (totally or in part). this could be a clever pass via Mahela to get help & interest. notwithstanding 10% isn't a huge pastime for Mahela. If Sri lankan Board has spent the income of gamers on the venues than it quite is done economic making plans Failure on the area of board. If we in simple terms prepare this subject on ourselves, do we artwork without income for one 300 and sixty 5 days in simple terms because of fact irrational administration has spent the money on the form of company branches? do we ? i'm able to't. i'm surprised on the gamers' present day overall performance. no you will say that they have got not paid for one 300 and sixty 5 days. It's as right as forcing all children to take part in a Christian assembly. The church and state are apparently separate, although for some reason, not when it comes to this.

Well the C of E primary school here lets muslim girls wear their religious clothes.
Muslim boys just wear the standard uniform.
The high school however is Christians only.

As to your question the parents can choose another school if not happy.
