Born Again Christian, the bible does not take your comments.
God said that some people will be hot some cold. But the wisdom of man is foolishness to God. Overall some people will just refuse to believe and not on particular reasons why.

barb K:
If they refuse the word of God...

Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house......shake off the dust of your feet.

Okay, and how many times have you refused say, Jehovah Witnesses at your door? If you quote the scriptures then you should stand by them.

Sadly, even so-called "Christians" have learned so little in their churches that they often do not realize that the choice to go door-to-door is not made by Jehovah's Witnesses, but by the head of the Christian congregation, Christ Jesus.

The Scriptures indicate that Jesus personally instructed his disciples to go door-to-door. Although they are a relatively small religion, Jehovah's Witnesses clearly embody the most prominent global fulfillment of that Christian assignment. Frankly, you can call yourself a Christian all day long, but if you disregard the door-to-door preaching work, who are you really disregarding?

(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest. 3 Go forth. Look! I am sending you forth as lambs in among wolves. ...16 “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

While a few people in their territories may choose to disregard the preaching work, Jehovah's Witnesses could never disregard Jesus and the Almighty in that manner, as Luke 1:16 teaches. Instead, the evidence is clear that Jehovah's Witnesses are performing Christ's work and thus they are, in fact, the only true Christians today.

As true Christians, Jehovah's Witnesses work to please God and Christ rather than man or selves. It does not even matter if anyone listens to their message, since the bible foretold that many (such as the questioner) would not "put up with the healthful teaching". The Witnesses continue to preach because they value the bible's direction even more highly than a silly window slogan!

(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

No. Look. I can't believe in a book called The Bible. I'm intelligent enough that I don't think about existence of God. If God exists than OK, if not than it is OK as well.

I have a free will, and I'm responsible only about my life (to live happily and responsible) and not what God wants from me.

1Cr 2:14 But people who aren't Christians can't understand these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them because only those who have the Spirit can understand what the Spirit means.
1Cr 2:15 We who have the Spirit understand these things, but others can't understand us at all.

Col 2:8 Don't let anyone lead you astray with empty philosophy and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the evil powers of this world,* and not from Christ.

Atheists do accept personal responsibably. Using God or an All Powerful Being as an excuse to do something (ie, I did it in the name of or for God, Allah, what-have-you)is when people are not accepting personal responsibility.
Leave the atheists alone they did nothing to you.

The problem lies in that if they accept that there is a God, then there is something greater than themselves and some may not be ready to do that.
I think that has a great deal to do with those who cling to atheism - because the theory itself quickly falls apart.

Not just 'some', but ALL atheists. They want to claim there is no God, but they have no proof, and that makes their belief a faith-based belief, and that is a religion. Thus, they practice a religion they can't prove, and that makes them hypocrites.

I am neither haughty nor proud. I accept personal responsibilities for my actions but denying god isn't something I do because I am arrogant.

All we do is deny that god exists .We don`t gloat or have television stations and ask for donations.
We are Doctors ,Lawyers ,Police ,Firemen ,EmT`s ,Nurses ,Disease researchers ,Cooks , your favorite checker at a supermarket.
You don`t see us trying to convert anyone to our beliefs but we will defend them when confronted .
If we seem Proud to you ,its because we ARE proud of ourselves and our accomplishments.
We don`t have to bow down to an invisible entity and follow ancient sheppards rules and teachings.
Sorry we appear proud ,but we are.

Yes, they have been blinded from the Truth by Satan. But as it says in God's Word...EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord...even the unbelievers...but , too late for them because it'll be after they die and are cast into hell.

BTW...all the people that vote thumbs down on my post...I'm not a judge..there IS only ONE Judge...but it sure appears their thumbs are pointed towards where they are headed unless they accept Christ and repent

JOHN 3:3 Jesus said' I assure you, unless you are BORN AGAIN, you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven''

PRAISE THE LORD! :D

Spades, also Jehovah Witnesses have change many parts of the Bible to suit their beliefs.
