Yes. It is God's plan that you find a church where Jesus Christ is preached - a Bible-believing church. But you do not have to go to church to be a Christian. Christianity starts in the heart and we go to church out of obedience and to hear God's Word preached. Listen - sleeping in a garage does not make you a car, so sitting in a church does not make you a Christian either. Blessings.

you can accept Jesus without ever have stepped foot into a church building, but if you have truly accepted Christ into your heart , then why would anyone not want to go and worship the Lord with other Christians in the House of the Lord ( church) . there is this whole fellowship thing which The Word of God speaks of . the Word of God also speaks of Unity. a true Christian is a member of The Body of Christ, ( the church). a toe cut off from the rest of the body is of not much use , it can't do much on it's own , but that same toe joined together with the rest of the other members of the body is a useful member , it helps the Body to walk. it's the same with a Christian that does not attend a church. don't go to church , be the church!

...A Christian is one who has believed on the Lord Jesus Christ alone for savation. Gathering with other believers is a command that we must follow - observe Hebrews 10:24-25:
...24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
...25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
...We are told to gather with other believers on a regular basis; if you don't, you are being disobedient to our Lord. Going to church is for corporate worship, encouragement, and serving and loving others. God designed us in the body of Christ to function together, to accomplish His purposes and to serve each other.
...Going to church no more makes you a Christian than stepping into a bakery makes you a cake.

If you really accept Christ as your savior than a desire to know him more, through his word, worship, and fellowship with other Christians should be present. This desire also may not be present in the beginning and therefore will be one of the things that follows soon after conversion and regeneration. I think people that don't follow after Christ through reading the Word, beyond the casual reading of their bible, and many other ways, aren't truly dedicated to having that personal relationship with Christ.

Another thing is, if you're looking for the road to salvation, it is through Jesus Christ, but it's more than just a verbal confession; that confession and true condition of the heart, results in a changed life. Romans 12:1 - 2. And it doesn't only result in it, but you have to consciously live out the word of God. Be not only a hearer of the word, but apply it to your life and do it.

going to church doesn't make you a christian anymore than going to a garage makes you a car. You are a Christian if you believe that Jesus is the Christ

Church is where ever you want it to be. Yes the traditional sense of a church with a congregation is nice, but, you can hold mass in your home, car, or just about anywhere as long as in your heart, mind, body and soul you have truly accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior!

Being a Christian does not depend on going to church. It depends on repenting and accepting the atonement of Jesus Christ. One should have fellowship with other Christians and should seek him in his word and in prayer to build there relationship with him.

You must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and take up your cross and follow Him.

If God tells you to not attend a church, then it is His Will. But if you do it on your own, then you have not truly accepted Jesus, for you did not give Him your free will in order to do His Will.

You are, but church is vital for fellowship. If you have tried a couple churches, keep trying. It's something that will help you your entire life, so a few months searching will be worth it. Where two or three are gathered in Jesus's name, He will be there.

I believed that when you accepted Christ in your heart it is because you love Him. And Jesus says that if you love him then you would obey his commandment, & one of his commandment is for us (christians) not to forget the assemble ourselevs ( in churches) in order to encourage one another. So if you truly love Christ then you would obey otherwise your disobeying in this part of youir life. Pray to Holy Spirit to put the desire in your heart to attend a church that would help you find a church that would nourish your spirit man with in.
