The pericope in question deals with speaking in tongues, and nothing about women speaking in church.

"Let all things be done decently and in order."

The early church assembly was modeled after the Jewish synagogue, the women sat on one side and the men on another. What was going on was that the women were not only chattering but also shouting questions to their husbands in the men's section, causing disruption in the meeting. If you look at the greek meaning of the word "silence" means calm or undisruptive. The greek word used for "to speak" means "chatting,questioning, arguing." What Paul was trying to do was to stop the confusion going on in the meeting. Women are allowed to speak and teach, Paul says' in I Corinthians 14:26-27, 29, 31,

" When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation...If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three...Let the prophets speak two or three...For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn,
and all may be comforted."

Everyone means everyone, not just men. Some of the teaching regarding women by the Apostle Paul is difficult to understand. In 2 Peter 3:15-16, even the Apostle Peter mentioned the difficulty of interpreting all Paul shared under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Also see Joel 2:28

Sister, I think you mis-interprate scriptures, I for myself Believes That God can have Prophtess, But they are ones that can either give a message in tongue, or can interpretate tongues. That scripture that says for a woman to keep silence in the church, has to do with the Ministry, In EPH. 4: 11 God gives you the 5 offices of the ministry, all in mascular term. Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers, & Evanaglists. Bit God can use a woman to speak in tongues or to prophcy, Or interperate tongues, But when it comes to the highest calling.Eve was decieved before Adam. I hope this helps you some.

Eve was the one deceived in the garden, not Adam, women are also not suppose to teach or usurp athority over a man and I agree totally, I once taught a sunday school class with men in it and I was convicted by the Holy Spirit and gave up the class.

God has his reason and He is always right whether we understand it or not.

Let your women keep silence in the churches; for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under SILENCE, as also saith the law.

And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being decieved was in the transgression.
