According to Christians, anybody who repents their sins and lets Jesus into their hearts, will go to Heaven.

In the prisons this happens to a lot of people. They start to read the Bible, ask for forgiveness, and in the end they wil make it to Heaven.

I, as an atheist, believe in forgiveness. I like that concept, actually.

What I wonder is how it'll work, according to Christians, in the afterlife. A lot of earthly victims will in Heaven meet their murderer, rapist or whatever. Are those victims warned in advance? Does God tell them they will meet their killer or rapist again? Does God prepare them for that confrontation? Is there anything about that mentioned in the Bible?

Interesting question as a muslim we believe that the only sins you can not "get rid of" are associating partners with God if you do not repent when you die and taking someones "huck" (this means the wrongs you have done to someone) so you must apologize... I never heard this concept though... Uhmmm I will be in the look-out because I never ever heard this concept before! Uhhmmm!

Best to read the Bible and see for yourself. As for what happens after death, depends on interpretation. If you read the Bible carefully, you may see that there will be only a select group of 144,000 that will rule with Christ in a future millenium. The rest of humanity will be ressurected here on a future Earth and help to create a paradise again, with the rulership of Christ and his chosen ones. Then there are those that may never get ressurected. They will just stay dead. Death is also known as a non-existent state where there are no memories, no feelings, nothing. Supposedly all those that have dead are in this state and only have the resurrection to look forward to for salvation.
Remember the story of Lazarus, a very good friend of Jesus. When Lazarus died, Jesus cried upon hearing his death. Yet Jesus went to his grave and resurrected him. Here's some food for thought:

1) Why would Jesus cry, knowing full well he can bring Lazarus
back to life, with the power of God?

2) Why didn't Lazarus mention anything about seeing some kind
of heaven, angels, etc.? He had no memories of his death
condition.
3) Then there is the matter of Jesus's death. Why did the
Almighty God show his anger upon the death of Jesus,
knowing full well that he could resurrect Jesus anytime?
Most likely because his only greatest son, was non-existent
for the period of 3-days.

4) Revelations promises " to throw Hell and Death into the Lake
of Fire after the 1000 year period of paradise. Strange phrase
don't you think? Total destruction of Hell and Death?

There are more passages in the Bible that may bring more light on your subjects. These are just a few samples.

Mark, I appreciate your honesty and this is a question that many have.

Mark, when I was a small child, I was kidnapped and assaulted but I would love to know this person has repented and would be in heaven. It is the first question I would ask them if I met them today. You see, my LORD said that He is not willing for anyone to perish. After Jesus was nailed to a cross for our sin HE said ...Forgive them for they know not what they do.

If God can forgive us for what we did to Jesus, I can forgive others for what they do to me.

We are also told that if anyone accepts Christ, we are made new creatures, old things pass away and all things become new.

What this tells me is that all of these issues will be resolved when we get to heaven. We will be so glad for each one that is there. Since we are also told that God will wipe away all our tears, I do believe that we will see for a moment all of those that did not accept the LORD and we will regret each and every one of them until God wipes the tears away forever more.

Mark, read the link below...

You, my friend, do not sound or argue as an atheist. Your questions, though some milk bottle christains will disagree, do have some degree of validity. Look forward to more of your questions.

BTW. yes they do meet again. example is in Luke, when the rich man see's the beggar, but you knew that already, right?

there's a secure practices internet for people who wade through this existence and not in any respect come around the gospel. interior the subsequent existence the gospel is preached to those human beings as though they have been right here. they have the prospect like every person else to settle for the plan, or reject in simple terms as a lot of human beings listed under are doing. determination is powerful.
