I read it, as a teenager, to see how messed up that guy was, Hitler. I believe in studying history to learn how to avoid the mistakes of the history.

Someone should have read that book when it came out and said that man is a madman.

Do you think this question is absurd?

I have read it a couple of times. While it is obviously (by today's standards) the work of a disturbed mind, it also gives a bit of insight into Hitler's mind. Keep in mind though, that this book was seriously edited by a couple of his trusted lieutenants so we don't get the complete picture of what he was thinking.

People did read the book to some extent. Unfortunately the book did not see massive sales until after he came to power. Then it became a good idea for every German to have a copy in their home. The book didn't get much attention internationally until Hitler was appointed Chancellor. Then it was too late.

Nope. It's not a bad question.

Yes. Your spelling and syntax, too. I don't believe you read that book. I'll let you in on something; there's a book called ' Hitler - The Facts ' - in it is an anectdote of high party officials going to dinner. They made a bet. The bet was, whoever hadn't read Mein Kampff, would pay for the meal. Everybody wound up arguing who pays and laughing. It is the most unreadable book I ever tried to. Four pages. I gave up.

I could for enough money - say $20 or more. I agree with what you say about Hitler being messed up. People did and elected him chancellor of Germany. One of the problems of democracy is you can elect a Hitler, a Nixon or a Bush. There is nothing wrong with your question.

People pay you to read Mein Kampf? There's a sociology professor out there somewhere that owes me at least twenty bucks, then. That book was painful to read.

read mien kampf (my life)
in college.......everyone in germany read
it - way back when -and most thought he
was an answer to their prayer, not a madman.
those who knew the truth kept quiet for fear
they would be killed.........
Hitler was very intelligent -imagine the good
he might have done in this world if he were not
evil.

I'm a bit of a whore, I'd do just about anything for the right price...the most amazing thing about Hitler is that people followed him. He was batshit crazy!

Yes, I've read it but not for years. No, this question is no more absurd than any other. I've altered my opinion since the last one you posed.
