How do you prove that light exists to someone who is blind and is incapable of sight?

How do you prove that God exists to someone who is incapable of experiencing the presence of God?

I heard some weird idea that every living being can't exist without bodies like green can't exist without yellow and the computer can't work without hardware, but if is given immortality from God, the being can become part of the invisible spectrum in the form of energy without self destructing. lol how crazy is that?

This reminds me of the legendary hutchison effect.

I would find it annoying if someone came to me and asked for my help and I say 'yes' or 'no' and they keep on asking me for my help. Specially if I said 'yes' and they keep on asking me, that is silly i think.
If christians believe God knows all things, then 1) why ask at all and 2) why ask more than once?

He claims that Arial Sharon had a stroke because he gave in to the Palistinians

He claims that Hurrican Katrina devistated N.O. because they "lived in sin"

So he claims that all accidents and tragedies are a message from god.

Most of you are probably unaware that his private jet crashed in CT a few weeks ago killing 2 people.

What do you think god is trying to tell him?

the most historically acurate documents in the world? Never mind if you you believe that some of the stories are fabricated or myth. After all myth, is almost always based on fact. Archaeologists for years have used the Bible as a compass for digs and research. It seems that many people are ignorant of the historical value the Bible has, and seem to think the whole Bible is completely false. There are entire histories of kings and families that are rivaled only by the egyptians. You may not believe that the Red Sea was parted, but David was a real king, and Jesus did exist, even if you believe he was just a man.

My soon to be husband and I have begun living differently with our walk with God and everything. Our tv stays on christian channels, our radio on christian stations and our interests are christian. However, every now and then I do like to watch regular tv programs. But as soon as a find something I would like to watch and I get up for one second he turns the channel back to the christian stations without even asking me or anything. Then if I say something it's like I've committed some sin or I'm loosing faith and all this about I need to pray more. I'm trying not to seem rebellious against God but I feel he (my fiance') is going to far and in the little of it putting me down about my faith.

What do you think?
*Yes I have prayed on it so not put downs just serious point of views.

Thanks

I had a very deep subconscious "dream" of some sort that involved about a 2 hour long ritual that had me praying to "Lord Satan", asking him to protect us, our families and home (possessions)guide us, etc. I forget all the particulars, but in the end of the prayer session, it concluded with Jesus Christ or in his "name" and support, as if he were in.

Somehow, within this session of dream or subconsiousness, I figured that Satan and Jesus were working together for one better cause.

Everything within my Christian upbringing says this is wrong, but much of it seems correct in "theory", as if they were working together and one believed in both of them on one team, there could be a better world.

Don't make fun of me. I am not a psycho. I simply want to understand this and if anyone else had similar experiences.

It was done, with the laying on of hands, and not faultering in standing straight and pointing north and chanting and praying over and over until it was perfect.

A Preist and a Baptist minister was pounding a huge sign into the ground near my home. It said: END IS NEAR, turn around before it's too late!
Just then a car flew by and the people inside yelled at them and said: LEAVE US ALONE YOU RELGIOUS NUTS!!!!
Just then they heard a horrible CRASH!!!
Then the Preist said to the Baptist preacher:
Shouldn't we have just said:
Bridge is Out!

Did you like this story?

I find myself with a bunch of burdens on my shoulders and whenever I've prayed about it, I've still been worrying about it even though I can't control it. Anyone in the same situation or know how you can quit worrying about stupid stuff?

One of the things I notice is the (mis)use of labels. I see the (mis)use of such words as

1. unbeliever
2. nonbeliever
3. atheist
4. christian
5. fundmentalist
6. evolution (ok, im an agnostic evolutionist, who the bleep told anyone the human being is a higher order species that came from a lower order species was a scientific fact, thats about as non science as saying "the human being is complex and requires a designer, theres no higher order of species in objective science!)

--

What I do find interesting, is that many people have a different interpretation of the following, subjective term, which I find most appropriate:

1. God

What do you think, a) what do the words mean, and b)why do so many people butcher the words on the first, and c) why has the human race never made the word(s) on the second list a concise precise definition?

I've read the Bible. I'll admit, I only loosely read Numbers because… it's full of numbers and not much else. I was surprised by how few restrictions are actually in the text and how common sense they are. For this reason I can't understand why all of the anti-religious people are so down on "acting like the Bible tells you to."

God says don't kill each other. Don't steal other people's stuff. Don't sleep with your neighbor's wife - that will cause you problems. Don't eat dead things you find in the woods. Don't hate each other. Don't oppress each other.

Love each other. Take care of each other. Treat each other fairly. When you do something wrong, admit it. When you help other people, you help yourself. Live the way God intended. Love and acknowledge God.

How is any of this wrong? How is any of this illogical or unintelligent? If we would all embrace these concepts wouldn't our lives and our world be 110% better?

I'm guessing that they haven't done their homework. who's illlogical

It's well known that Jesus dies on the cross for the sake of everyone.
It's not apparent to me what Mohammed's contribution is. Could somebody tell me please? I'd really like to know.

I’ve been lurking here for a while and it is an amusing place.

Anyway, in your opinion, which religious group (or non-religious for you agnostics and atheists) appears to be the most supportive, helpful and considerate (to those inside and outside their category)? The Bible talks about knowing people by their fruit, so whose is the sweetest.

I’m asking specifically about behavior here on YA Religion and Spirituality.

Christian (Catholic, Protestant, JW, LDS etc), Muslim, Neo-Pagan (Wiccan, Druid, etc), Jew, Atheist, Agnostic, FSM (But I think this is a sub-set of the atheist/agnostic camp), or someone else I am forgetting.
