the answer is a theist
a gnostic can also be the answer, but because they formed a sect that said jesus was a normal man, it makes it the wrong answer to your question.
i agree with you on the belief in god but also hold no desire to follow a religion because they are man made and manipulated.
therefore i can only suggest that they are called 'individuals who believe in god in their own way'
once you give a name to them they become a sect or movement and lose the individuality.

It is called spirituality. Religion is an outward expression of spirituality the quality or state of being spiritual; and incorporating heavenly-mindedness

The almost universal belief in GOD takes MANY forms.

It could be said that BUDDISTS do not believe in GOD. FREEMASONARY is another. There are many more.

A Theist believes in a god, but I pray that you will believe in the one God and accept the Lord, Jesus Christ into your heart. Follow Him and you don't need to know anything else.

If you believe in Jesus, your still considered a Christian. I do not practice any Religion. I read my Bible, go to a non-denominational Church, Love Jesus, and have a lot of joy in my heart knowing that Jesus died on the cross for me.
hope that helps. All depends on the" God" you refer to. Is it Jesus, or just a god.

Dont really know what you are asking but the first thing that comes to my mind is the freemasons to be one of them you just have to believe there is a god, it dont matter which one to them just that you believe in a higher power.

A "theist" believes in a god or gods.

You could also be refering to "agnostic", but that is not strictly true.

An agnostic doesn't know the nature of god or gods or whether there is god or gods.
