I am not trying to offend anyone by this question. I am just very curious to know. I have Catholics in my family but I am Evangelic.

When it's time to confess your sins, do you have to explain in detail the sins you committed?

Could you explain to me the process of this?

Thanks.

Is the country of Israel in 2006 the same Israel of the Old Testament of the bible?
If it is does that mean if we don’t support what they do we are acting against God?

Additional questions to this point:

1) How could I convince people that my religion's vision is consistent with God's vision?
2) Since my country is capitalistic and I live in a society of plenty, how can I effectively market the new religious doctrine? Would it be unethical to market to children on television?
3) How could I show seemingly-realistic supernatural events that would be believable in a scientific age?
4) Would I first be required to establish a history of reighteousness through violence?

Good morning, agnostic here not trying to change anyones religion.

As many of you know I am reading the Christian Bible. I also picked up a copy of the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I note that there is the same empirical evidence for both God/Jesus as there is FSM.

I note that in the Gospel of the FSM that the FSM created and loves everyone, including homosexuals, and that homosexuals will be able to get into the FSM heaven, where there is a beer volcanoe.

So my question is, are you a Pastafarian because you find that you are someone who loves and respects people who are both heterosexual and homosexual, and saw that reflected in the Pastafarian religion.

(Disclaimer: I know the FSM is a parody religion, but this is a serious question, ie - even thou 99% of Pastafarians are atheist/agnostic in reality - does a God that accepts homosexuals appeal to you, even thou you kinda know God isn't real)

Two questions, for everyone. Please answer both questions.

(1) Assuming he's sane, if the suspect in the Ramsey case is found guilty of the charges of kidnapping, rape and murder of the six year old Jon Benet, what punishment do you think he deserves?

(2) What religion are you?

I, myself, my own views on this. I believe that God creates your fate and destiny before you are even born. He knows when, how, and how long you are going to live... What are your views on this.

What other "proofs" are out there that people just refuse to believe? I would think something that was proven would have ample evidence to support it's point of view, enough so that it would be wholeheartedly believed. What other things do we have that we have "proof" of that we just toss aside and ignore as being untrue?

Religion cannot prove some things that are a deep subject, as for example, if God really exists, if has life the death after... Actually, nobody can it! So, why then the most of the religious people is always trying to prove that these things are true? What is the base, the fact? The bible? Any person that is a bit more instructed would know that the bible for itself has an arguable authenticity...What do you think about this?

All you nutters on here quoting scriptures and blasting everyone else for not believeing dont know a damn thing about religion.

So many of you are claiming that Jesus never sinned when in fact he did sin. The Virgin mary is the only person who never sinned according to catholic teaching.

The trinity does not reffer to 3 gods.

Jesus didnt make the world. God did (that is if you relly believe that crap)

Instead of proffessing that you are holyer-than-thou try to actually learn something about your religion.

The only reason you people are so easy to pick on and discredit is because you guys dont know shlt about your religion.

I have had several prayers answered by God in the name of Yahshua (Jesus) . God has sent angels to me and my family. One of the angels, a young looking male, disappeared right in front of me!!!!! God has also let me see a demon's hand, a vision of hell and a young girl's hand. Maybe my daughter's hand (we lost her a few years ago). No I don't take drugs... never have. If anyone has had any experiences like these, I want to hear from you. I used my faith in God and said certain things in my prayers.. that God answered those prayers. Whan to know more?
Oh yes, God even sent an angel (spirit) to do surgery on me!!! If you or anyone needs healing, contact me and I will tell you how to approach God's throne.
So, If you have had any experiences with God, angels etc. contact me. I am putting all my experiences, starting at 12 years old to present, in a story - book. Thank You.

Matthew 21: 17-19 "And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. "

Thou shalt not murder.

Did he not just murder the fig tree? Seems like a sin to me.

Good morning, I am an agnostic and not wanting to change anyone's religion.

Question for people who think God is a woman, can you share with us some of the reasoning behind why you think and believe this way?

For those of you who don't think God is a woman, maybe you could just observe other people's answers, this is a question for them, really want to be respectful to everyone and this isn't a question trying to debate God's gender its just trying to learn about people whose belief is different from mine.

I was at youth church last night, and they made an alter call for people that wanted to be baptized, and they would discribe what exactly baptizm meant, and so on.

And after a short time they prayed with us, and all three of the adults started speaking in tounges.

I was wondering as they were doing so... What is the significance of praying in tounges, and why do they do it, rather than praying in english?

(this was an Assembly of God church, if you were wondering what the denomination was)

Granted the questions I ask are sometimes off the wall and stupid, but they're sometimes to amuse with the off thought of "What if?" instead of actually seeking an answer. Yet I still get believers that take the questions seriously and answer with "You're so stupid!" or "If I were you, I'd kill myself!" To me this seems a very unChristianlike thing to do. I don't go on their questions and tell them they're idiots. I answer their question as best I can without being condescending and moronic. Apparently, they're unable to treat me in kind.
Anyone seen this trend at work?

God gave us free will. We have the ability to choose to do what we want. This is my question though, why do we make the choices we do? We make those choices due to how we were made. God is the one who made us. So really even as I type these words I think did I truly choose to type this or was it simply the way I was made and no matter any amount of my free will I would have ended up typing them anyhow? If any one could give me a good explanation how god didn't make us do everything we do anyhow even though we have free will?
