I am not aware that Jesus sinned. Where do you get your insight from?
As for Jesus being there when the universe was created, it says in Gen 1:26
"Then God said: "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and the cattle, and over all the wild animals and all the creatures that crawl on the ground."
And again in John 1:1-5
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
Then in John 1:14
"And the Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as of the Father's only Son, full of grace and truth."
The mystery of the Trinity is just that, a mystery. We as human beings cannot grasp the thinking of three distinct beings, as three as one. The Trinity is just that, three seperate beings apart, but one. Thats the difficulty with non-believers. They just can't come to understand it. While even Christians will profess to not understand it either, non-believers use this to try and argue about our beliefs and our faith.
When you pray to God, you pray to God, as well as Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
When you pray to Jesus, you Pray to Jesus, as well as God and the Holy Spirit.
When you seek help from the Holy Spirit, you ask for help from the Holy Spirit, as well as from God and Jesus.
And, Catholic teaching says that Jesus was without sin as well as the Virgin Mary. this is the reason satan tempted Him in the garden. Satan knew that the true Son of God could not sin, that was Satan's proof that Jesus is the true Son of God. Yes even Satan needed proof...

Sadly you are right, a zealous spirit does not replace knowledge and understanding. But give them a little credit for thier zeal eh? Oh and by the way, "religion" as you call it is really not a place of learning, it is a place of gathering, for sharing, for spending time, even in ignorance, at the feet of God seeking answers, asking for help, asking for forgiveness. And based on your statements you also have a great deal to learn. Maybe if YOU tried NOT knocking someone else down you might feel a little better about yourself. The arguement of Trinity is a divisive arguement that holds absolutely no answer because the arguement is an arguement of semantics. However i would like to engage you in a public debate because i would kick the crap out of you because its you "who doesnt know ****" like how to form a coherent sentence. And yes there are "bible thumpers" who blunder without direction. They havent arrived at the great equation that dispels all that "religi-osity" (yes i know there is no such word) because the "Great Race" is a species of superior beings that travel interdimensionally and angels dont have wings and and and. So take a big step past religion and delve into the knowledge behind the scripture, but to get there you would have to read it for yourself. Thats only if you have the balls, cause anyone can stand on the side and criticize.

Obviously, you don't know a whole lot about me or my religion. I have never and will never thump my Bible. I read my Bible daily with dignity and respect. I pray for understanding and truth as I read it. I don't claim that Jesus created the world - I have read the entire Bible several times and understand clearly the words in Genesis. I don't profess that I am holier than anyone for God created all humans in His image. I try to treat others with love, kindness, understanding, and compassion. I accept only the Word of the Lord (the Bible) as truth not what others teach or say. I don't pray to the virgin Mary because the Bible states the only way through the Father is through the Son. I do not blast others for not believing either. I do not believe the Trinity refers to three Gods. Nothing in your statement refers to my beliefs. Get your facts straight or don't generalize. There are only a select few individuals out there who are "false prophets" or arrogant believers (thinking they're better than other human beings). We are all the same in God's eyes.

But YOU know about Christianity? Every word you said is wrong Christine doctrine. KNow what your talking about before you put such raw stupidity out there. The trinity is ONE God who manifests himself in 3 "persons". Catholic teachings dont hold to the scriptures. Mary was not sinless, only Jesus. Jesus and God are equal they both created the world. Read the first book of the Bible Genesis. Let US make man in OUR image. You really dont have a ***** clue.

Well, here I am! Fresh from learning "something" about religion!
I also learned much about spelling and using the Check Spelling, but it isn't necessary to make you feel bad.
1.Jesus WAS sinless.
2.The trinity is The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit..nobody said anything different in the Religious category.
3. Not bible thumpers, but Christians don't believe that we are holier than thou. We are all the same, but hope to bring others into the light.
4.Christians have always taken abuse from non-believers but have "turned the other cheek". when you finally give your heart to God, it will be a day of celebration and joy! If we can be a part of that renewal, it is a victory for us all.
5. Profanity is not allowed, it only shows your lack of respect and lack of vocabulary.

First of all, I don't study religion. The Bible clearly states that God and Jesus (the human form of God) is one. Then there's the Holy Spirit that lives inside all that are forgiven, That makes three. Which is the Trinity. Virgin Mary did sin, but, God chose her to to have His baby. Jesus is the only person not sin... He was tempted by the devil many times, though. He did not stuble, that's the only way He could take on man's sin.
I'm just answering questions that people ask. Like yours, for example. If you dont want to know about "religion", why are you here in religion and spirituality. Nobody is forced to be here you know. Nobody is forced to ask questions that they don't want an answer for. Again, like this question.

Before bashing Christians, why don't you learn something about Christianity and the Bible before you go out bashing?
For starters, the Bible states in several places that Jesus "committed no sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth." The Bible also states that Jesus was tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. That's what made Jesus the perfect sacrfice for our sins. According to the law of Moses, a sin offering had to be a lamb without blemish and perfect. The sins of the offeror were forgiven for a year when the High Priest shed the lamb's blood. Jesus is described as "the Lamb" in many passages in the Bible, and the letter to the Hebrews talks about how Jesus could freely give Himself over to be sacrficed as one who was perfect in the eyes of God -- BECAUSE HE DID NOT SIN -- and by shedding his blood could blot out the sins of the world.
The Virgin Mary never sinned according to Catholic tradition, and that's all it is -- CATHOLIC TRADITION. They can give no proof to that claim. Mary wasn't chosen because she had committed no sin; she was chosen because she "found favor in the eyes of God."
As to the creation of the world, Genesis 1:1 states "In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth," but in the first chapter of the Gospel according to John, he states "And the word was with God, and the word was God...And the word became flesh and dwelt among us..." Just one example of how Jesus the Son was with God the Father from the beginning. Jesus Himself testified that "The Father and I are one" in the Gospel according to John.
P.S.: The only non-Christians that I bash are arrogant, self-righteous prigs like you who take such personal delight in criticizing the religion of others and by doing so try to make themselves to be so much more intellectually and morally superior to everyone else. Get off your high horse and realize you're just as human as the rest of us. The only real difference between a Christian and you is that a Christian believes in God the Father and Jesus His Son, while you have nothing better to do than to make a big joke out of it. If you believe there is no God, YOU HAD BETTER BE RIGHT. Problem is there's no way for you to know that or to prove it, is there? Whoops.

Unfortunately, I don't know what conversations or posts you are referencing. I'm very knew to this whole thing. However, I did want to comment on some things from the readings I have done and experts I have talked to about this subject.
1) The basis of Christianity is that Jesus was sinless. It is the reason for the crucifixion. By being sinless and dying for those who have sinned, Jesus, in effect, was a pure sacrifice. In his purity and perfection, his death "took on" the sins of the world. It was the payment, the ransom if you will, for man's fall and continued distance from God. Until Jesus' death, Christians lived by the Law. If they did not follow the Law, they went to Hell. Jesus' death, in effect, killed the Law, allowing the Holy Spirit to come and reside within us and be our moral compass. His death redeemed those from before, present, and after. If Jesus isn't sinless in Christianity's eyes, everything begins to fall apart.
2) Whether or not Mary is viewed as sinless depends on what denomination you are. Catholics believe that not only was Mary sinless, but that she was immaculately conceived. Protestant denominations tends to be split between whether or not she was sinless, but as a whole, most oppose the viewpoint of immaculate conception.
3) The trinity is probably the most difficult concept in Christianity. The trinity is not three gods, nor is Jesus or God or the Holy Spirit separate. They are all one but distinct. When God created the world, it says the The Word was there. The Word was Jesus. Jesus says "I am" because Jesus was and always has been. Time is a concept constrained by our reality. He did not enter human history (and thus our time) until his birth, but He has always been. Scripture references that when God created the world, he spoke The Word and that the Holy Spirit hovered like a bird in the chaos before the world was created. Most people never fully understand or grasp the Trinity (including myself). But I truly believe the point is not semantics or understanding everything, but faith.
I agree that a majority of people that consider themselves Christians do not truly know what they believe. They believe in the mere top layer that they were taught. But even atheists know that. I believe Christianity isn't about "having feelings" and "loving," (though they are good and righteous things), but in knowing God and developing your faith and relationship with Him. Only by examination of scripture IN ITS TRUE CONTEXT (historically, linguistically, culturally) can one begin to fully know their religion. It is a lifetime dedication to learning (and not relying on self-interpretation alone) and questioning. Unfortunately, the tendency is to get defensive and religious conversations devolve into a plethora of self-righetous platitudes and resentment and bitterness. I'm sorry that you had such a negative experience.

I hate to talk back to someone as learned in the scripture as you but I guess this time I'll have to... Jesus is said to be the incarnate Word of God:
John.1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made
Ok so much for Jesus not being the Creator.. The trinity refers to a teaching from the Bible that reveals God to us in three persons the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each is called God in the scripture.
Hebrews 4:15
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Jesus was tempted like we are yet here it says that He is without sin..Where again did you get your Bible knowledge? Jim

Jesus did not sin. The apostle Peter wrote that God took our sins away "with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" (1 Peter 1:19). But could He have sinned if He wanted to? Sure. In fact, the writer of Hebrews says that Jesus was "in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin" (Hebrews 4:15). If Jesus could not sin, then it wouldn't be true to say that He was tempted just like us.
When we are tempted, we face a choice between doing what is right, and doing what is wrong. When we choose to do wrong, we sin. So the simple answer to your question, is that Jesus did not sin because He chose not to sin.
This can't have been easy. After all, we know it's hard to resist temptation. But Jesus tried to be wise in God's ways, even as a young boy (Luke 2:52). Jesus knew God's Word perfectly. This means He knew what God wanted Him to do, and He obeyed His Father in all things (Luke 22:42). When Satan tempted Him, Jesus knew exactly what to do (Luke 4:1-12). He could have sinned, but He didn't. That is why He became the perfect example of how we should live our lives (1 John 1:3-6)
Don't know where you get your information, but this " Bible thumping nutter" reads the Bible.
