Is the country of Israel in 2006 the same Israel of the Old Testament of the bible?
If it is does that mean if we don’t support what they do we are acting against God?

No, the country of Israel is just that a man-made country with no special blessing of God. It is just yet-another failure of the Un which created it shortly after WWII

Christianity is the fulfillment of the Old Testament, and therefore that Jews who deny that Jesus is the Messiah fall short of their calling as God's chosen people. The Jews are no longer considered to be God's chosen people. The covenant with the Old Testament nation of Israel is continued in the historical Christian church, and that most prophetic reference to a promised exaltation of Israel is fulfilled in the ascension of Jesus and in the Christian Church, God's original purpose was to create for himself one covenant people, which was to be found in the people of Israel in the years before Christ, and in the international church in the years after Christ. only the elect of both covenants are God's chosen people — that even prior to Christ, not all who belonged to the nation of Israel were "children of the promise". So while unbelieving Jews are still considered "blessed" (because they have the Old Testament) they are, in the end, no different from unbelieving Gentiles in their position before God.

# Romans 2:28-29 For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.

* Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not, but lie - behold, I will make them come and bow down at your feet and they will learn that I have loved you.

No, it isn't the same Israel. Modern Israel encompasses roughly the same territory, and has the same name, but that's where the similarities end. Modern Israel is a modern secular republic, not a theocratic dictatorship. It's population contains people of all types of religions, and there is no special treatment for race or religion like in the old Israel. It's also unlikely that those who call themselves Jews have any blood relation to the ancient Jews (anymore than anyone else).

It depends on how you use the word "Israel".
Israel was the name that God gave Jacob. Most of the time in the Bible when you mention "Israel" it means the 12 tribes of the Israel.
Only 2 tribes of Israel make up the actual country of Israel today.
And yes, don't go against Israel today.

This is not the same country as in the Old Testament. This country was formally recognized in 1948 by the UN. And supporting or not supporting a country has no relationship to God's will. (Jew, Christian, or Muslim or any other Abrahamic regions)

Israel today has nothing to do with Israel in the Bible. Israel is the Bible represented a living church from God and still represents a living church. Today, that would be the New Jerusalem.

the purpose of organising a state with a Jewish majority is to provide a secure haven for Jews, it truly is because heritage has shown that Jews were persecuted as a minority very almost everywhere. To "stay among the people of all international locations" is a staggering theory, yet sorry, been there, carried out that. the perception of a Jewish majority isn't a racist one, it truly is a reaction to anti-Jewish racism. Why do not YOU "stay among the people of all international locations"? And why do not you favor to renowned that the Arabs all started the violence against the Jews in 1920?

Strange, the Israelites did not have land in the bible. They wandered the desert for 40 years.

Now they reside in Palestine and claim the land was theirs from the beginning of time.
