Example the Pharoah, this man pray to stone. He is so smart, but unfaithfully pray to THE WRONG ONE.

How can we become intelligent and choose the right religion? I mean smart with everything and we don't have weaknesess?

Can we consider Pharoah as smart man eventhought he chose wrong religion?

With all the money tied up in churches and synagogues and mosques and other sorts of temples - maintaining them all and all their clergy/clerics/rabbi's etc. , couldn't so many of the world's problems be solved?
Didn't Jesus say something like "wherever two or more of you are gathered in my name, I am there"?
If so why do you ignore it?

I always attended church and Sunday School as a child, but drifted away from the church. I am single now and don't really feel accepted by family-oriented congregations. I also would like to "be" (attend services) rather than "do" (be a super church volunteer). Any suggestions? Can single adults really be treated with respect and dignity in churches today? (Without being asked to join the "singles" group?)

Christians,(and the smattering of other religious persuasions that couldn't resist) have you ever considered reverse psychology?

The emperor walked beneath the beautiful canopy in the procession, and all the people in the street and in their windows said, "Goodness, the emperor's new clothes are incomparable! What a beautiful train on his jacket. What a perfect fit!" No one wanted it to be noticed that he could see nothing, for then it would be said that he was unfit for his position or that he was stupid. None of the emperor's clothes had ever before received such praise.

"But he doesn't have anything on!" said a small child.

"Good Lord, let us hear the voice of an innocent child!" said the father, and whispered to another what the child had said.

"A small child said that he doesn't have anything on!"

Finally everyone was saying, "He doesn't have anything on!"

The emperor shuddered, for he knew that they were right, but he thought, "The procession must go on!" He carried himself even more proudly, and the chamberlains walked along behind carrying the train that wasn't there.

It is really a gross insult to the intelligence of the man that so many millions of people can be made to say they believe in this crucifixion and death and resurrection of a man who is God when there is absolutely no evidence whatever in the Bible to support this belief or to prove this claim beyond any reasonable doubt.

You will find that 99.9% of those who say they believe do not really know anything about the Scriptures and do not understand what the Bible is saying.

All they know is what they have been made to learn like parrots are taught to talk and they never ever, in all their life, ever examined a word of the Bible, but claim to know from Genesis to Revelation.

They refuse to compare Scriptures and fail to see the Bible telling them that it is a Trick and that they should be aware of the lies and deceit of those false Scriptures, but if they care to look carefully, the Bible will reveal the truth to them, and the Quran helps to open the truth.

Amen!

People sometimes like to quote the biblical passage that goes "The fool says in his heart there is no god" (or words to that effect).

It would indeed be foolish if there were any justifiable reason to believe that a god exists. However, no-one in all of human history has ever come up with one single valid argument for the existence of any gods, nor one solitary item of objective evidence. It's not foolish to disbelieve an idea which is supported by neither argument nor evidence - on the contrary, it's the only reasonable position to take. That's why the more intelligent you are, the less likely you are to be religious.

The Pledge never used to say "Under God". It was added in the 1950's after a campaign by the Knights of Columbus (a Catholic organization) pressured Congressmen to change it.

So, why should it be kept in? The fact that not everyone believes in a god means that the very Pledge divides the "one nation indivisible".

Some people are fond of calling atheism a religion, but in that case what is the definition of 'religion' by which a belief in the existence of a deity, and the absence of such a belief, can both be called 'religion'?

Humans can and do behave in a way which we would characterise as evil. If you believe that a god created the universe, and us, then it's undeniable that without his choice to create us, the evil that we do would never have existed.

Why would anyone want to worship a deity who knowingly caused all evil to exist? Doesn't that mean you worship evil?

many Christians believe that the Bible condemns Witchcraft. However, the practices that biblical passages -- in the original Hebrew and Greek -- condemn are really evil forms of sorcery and murdering people by poisoning. Both practices are forbidden to Wiccans.
Many define a Christian quite specifically. They include only those who have repented of their sins, has trusted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and has accepted certain core traditional Christian teachings. (e.g. the Trinity, Incarnation, resurrection of Jesus, virgin birth, heaven, hell, sin, salvation, original sin, the existence of Satan as a living entity, etc.) Many of these teachings are incompatible with Wiccan theology.
Many conservative Christian denominations teach that women should not be in a position of power over a man, either in church, at work, or at home. Such a belief is totally at variance with Wiccan beliefs who generally believe in sexual equality.
Religious conservatives generally believe that homosexuality is unnatural, abnormal, chosen, changeable and intrinsically sinful. Most Wiccans disagree with these beliefs, accepting the findings of human sexuality researchers that a homosexual orientation is normal and natural for a minority of adults. Further, an adult sexual orientation not chosen and cannot be changed.
Many conservative Christians believe that various forms of divination are an integral part of Wicca. Since the Bible contains passages condemning many of the divination techniques which were in use in ancient times, they conclude that there is no room for Wiccan belief within Christianity. They overlook that some forms of divination were condoned by the Bible. One was even used by temple priests. Also, while it is true that some Wiccans engage in divination, not all do.
Wiccans would have to abandon many traditional biblical teachings in order to consider themselves to be Christian. However, millions of Americans already reject major portions of the Bible, and still consider themselves to be Christians. For example, most liberal Christians probably reject certain themes and stories in the Bible as being profoundly immoral and not representing the Will of God. These might include: genocide, human slavery, burning some hookers alive, whipping children with a rod, raping female prisoners of war, execution of non-virgin brides, executing people who work on the Sabbath, executing sexually active persons with a homosexual orientation, executing religious minorities, etc.

Suppose for a second aliens were to come on earth. In so doing you find out that they follow a religion other than yours that exist on the earth. Would you then believe in there religion or would you reject.

Note: They don't follow your religion and the similarity between their religion to another religion here on earth is undeniable.

If the universe was literally created in 7 days then how is it possible that we can see galaxies which are millions of light years away? It seems obvious to me that the universe must be at least as old as the distance in light years to the furtherest galaxy that we can see.

One of my favorite writers, Albert Camus expressed this belief in a book he wrote called the Plague. I became convinced that it was far better to do good for its own sake rather than for the sake of being rewarded for it in an afterlife. What is your opinion on this?
