Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

There are some minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.

A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.

Catholic has its history in the "original" tradition of Christianity.

in 1560s there was a break from Catholicism into Protestantism... Assemblies of God is in a way a break even from traditional Protestantism like Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian, etc. Assemblies is considered a charismatic and Pentecostal denomination.

Catholic is very traditional in rituals of confession and communion and other things.

neither are bad... they teach the same basic truth of grace and mercy of Jesus Christ. They just have very different approaches appealing to different people.

The Assembly of God is a Bible-believing church. If it's not Written, it doesn't exist. The Roman Catholic church has their OWN Bible with unaccountable books. The method of worship is completely different. Catholics pray to people who have died, the Bible says we are not to communicate with the dead. Only God can designate a Saint, the Catholic church chooses their saints after they die and pray to them. Assemblies of God believe that the only One we pray to is God, through His Son, Jesus Christ. God told us not to kneel in front of statues, the Catholics do, the AofG do not. They are all Christians, just one is the follower of the Word of God, one is not.
