Suppose for a second aliens were to come on earth. In so doing you find out that they follow a religion other than yours that exist on the earth. Would you then believe in there religion or would you reject.

Note: They don't follow your religion and the similarity between their religion to another religion here on earth is undeniable.

Its a hypothetical question so .....just answer the question

"They swear their strongest oaths by Allah, that if a (special) sign came to them, by it they would believe. Say: "Certainly (all) signs are in the power of Allah: but what will make you (Muslims) realise that (even) if (special) signs came, they will not believe."?
Quran 006.109

006.111
"Even if We did send unto them angels, and the dead did speak unto them, and We gathered together all things before their very eyes, they are not the ones to believe, unless it is in Allah's plan. But most of them ignore (the truth)."

Fascinating idea. But the same would apply to aliens as applies to humans - there may be millions of types of aliens out there, each with a religion of their own. That it works for them is their triumph and their joy - it doesn't necessarily make it right for anyone else. So even if they had "proof" that their religion - and therefore one that was here on Earth too - was "true", as long as it didn't claim to be the source of life in the universe, I wouldn't have a problem with it but wouldn't follow it. If it DID claim to be the source of life in the universe, I'd need scientific proof that their god created everything before believing it, and if they could give me that proof then technically I don't think it would count as a religion any more, it would be a fact. Still doesn't mean I'd worship any deity just for creating the universe though. I might say the occasional "thanks very much" but I wouldn't go mad with the praising...not so much a servant as an appreciative universe-user, me.

I don't exactly believe in a specific religion. I would definitely be open to new ideas and hear out this alien, assuming it spoke English, then decide for myself. I may adopt certain parts of its religion if those parts made sense. Of course even if they didn't, I wouldn't criticize. People can believe what they want, even if they are aliens, and I'll continue to believe what I want!

I know there's plenty of people out there who'd be dropping their pants just because aliens would come on the planet..as for me if any aliens come down with a religion of their own, I'll know for sure they're not an advanced species
