I was in a bind a couple of months ago where I needed to move and didn't have the money. I called my parents, who were able to help me out for what I needed, and when their check arrived, it was twice as much as they'd originally said they were sending, so I was able to move and get caught up on some bills! It was a pretty big answered prayer for me.
I know how it is finding a good church, I'm kind of in the same position there as well. Just keep praying and He will get you through! :)

This question comes at another, yes another amazing time.
I had a body scan 2 months ago. They found a mass on my kidney.
A second ultrasound was done 2 days later and 2 masses were found.
My wife went to our church prayer group and friends. Yes we have a multitude of very good friends.
They prayed and prayed.
I went for more tests. Each one in succession showed nothing. No anomalies to suggest there was anything wrong. Mind you I did have symptoms arise during these tests.
Each blood and urine test came back in the middle normal.
This morning (about 2 hours ago)I went for another follow up ultrasound.
They could not find them. There was nothing unusual. Gone.
I am going back to the doctor on Monday very thrilled. I haven't even told my wife yet.
I did not take any medication as they did not know what it was. My Doctor is a Christian.
This is just another way the Lord has blessed my family and I.
Over the years we have come to trust in the Lord. My great-great Grandparents were a huge influence on my life this way. To this day we have 5 generations living. Quite a feat.
Prayer is very powerful when everyone is in agreement.
Lord listens and answers.
God Bless, I hope my testimony inspires.

I recommend Methodism. We are not legalistic.
19 years ago my X and I wanted to buy a house. It was just what we wanted but there was a choice to make Feed the kids or give them more money for a down pymt than we really could. Of course the kids won. They were more important. But I got down on my knees and prayed cuz the realtor was nasty and was threatening to keep the earnest money which was $500. I said If theres anything you can do Lord please do it now" Two minutes after I got up from the floor the phone rang. Never had such an answer so quickly in my life. It was amazing. The realtor had softened his heart from intervention and he said he would give up $500 of his own commission which they never do so we would go through with the deal which he did and there were even more blessings at the closing. Im still living in the house!!

I was extremely sick all last year. The doctors kept misdiagnosing me. In October last year I went for a checkup endoscopy. The doctor found a malignant cancer 4cm long in my duodenum (between stomach and bowels). The Oncologist (cancer specialist) told me I would be dead by January this year. I knew that this was only man's opinion over my life. From that moment I started prayer battles. I prayed for 4 - 8 hours or more a day sometimes. Things started looking good for a whike. People were surprised that I had outlasted the doctor's estimation of my life expectancy. Then I got really sick about 6 weeks ago. I had already been to hospital in October last year to have the cancer cut out. They never cut anything out though coz the cancer had already spread. All they did was make a bypass so I could digest food without throwing up. Any way, through this whole ordeal I never doubted God's Word over my life for a moment. When things looked ominous, I would bind up the spirit of death and sickness over my life in Jesus name and rebuke it the same way. Finally the doctors sent me home from hospital 6 weeks ago after the CT Scan showed nothing. I was still chronically sick though and the doctors put it to a passing virus. The following Tuesday night God came to me in a vision-like experience and among other things told me that I was healed. To this day I am doing really well. God's Word is true, and I've proven it.
Mar 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Bless you.

Jesus loves you, keep seeking a fellowship of believers, who Preach Christ crucified and rose again, ascended into Heaven and is coming again! In 1997 I was in a terrible car wreck, which left me with multi-trauma injuries. A pelvis broken in 4 places. I bleed out.I was operated on 3 times in a matter of days. The doctors told my family that IF I survived the night I had a 50% chance of living. Jesus never left my side as I walked thru the shadow of the valley of death. He assured me that He was always with me. From that time onward I have no fear of Death. After being in the hospital for nearly 2 months, I went home with open adominal wounds, External fixtatures, internal fixatures, a colostomy bag and in a wheelchair with no guarantees I would walk again. God poured out His love to me thru family, friends, nurses and angels. My body was stressed but I was Blessed. It took more operations and more than a year to heal. I was left with a non-union pelvis. Doctor's don't understand how I can walk. X-rays say this person can't walk, but here I am walking perfectly normal, even with a leg discripence from the accident .Alot of prayers went up for me that night. My last thought was a prayer that day " Sweet Jesus help me" Doctor's don't understand, but I do. It was a miracle from God, answered prayers, and Love from Jesus. Because He lives, I live. If only to share this miracale and His love with others. And nothing or anybody can take that away from me. I know that I know this Jesus Lives, He talks to me and never leaves me forsaken. Thank-you Jesus and all Glory and Honor to God the Father! PS He loves you too!

How about this? My first wife (minister's daughter who was very devoted to God and His church) and I moved to Alabama, fell in love with it, and decided we were going to retire there when I got out of the Air Force. November 16, 2000 -- my wife is killed in a car accident. I could go on and on about how wonderful everyone at the Prattville Church of Christ was during that rough time, but that's not where I'm headed here. I thought I had my one chance at true love and that I was going to spend the rest of my life alone. I spent a lot of time asking God "OK, what now?" and He answered. I never thought I would find another woman that I would love as much as I loved my first wife who would love me in the same way. Well, praise be to God the Father -- I WAS WRONG. April 24, 2004 -- I married my second wife, and we have a wonderful marriage. Yes, we have our ups and downs just like in my first marriage, but we're committed to each other and committed to working through our problems. Just when you think you've reached your allotment of God's blessings, He drops a big one right in your lap.
Sorry to hear that you're not happy at your local church. You may want to consider shopping around. I have personally dealt with many issues at churches I attended, and I found that there's always another church somewhere nearby where I could go and be useful in doing the Lord's work and could be edified by attending Sunday worship and fellowshipping with other Christians in the congregation. Just a thought...

So Many over my life, from great big to little things that make me smile.
Once when I was 7 months pregnant with my last daughter, my mom called from Texas and said, the lord said you are in trouble that I need to pray. I told her that yes, I have been hemorrhaging and may lose the baby. We agreed right there on the phone and it stopped immediately. My daughter is now pregnant with my second grandchild. What a blessing her life has been to me. Without God, I wouldn't have her, or the next generation of my family.
I have been totally healed of carpal tunnel. My husband has been totally healed from kidney disease.
About 2 weeks ago my coffee pot broke, I was going to buy a thermos carafe kind... wow! 75 dollars for a pot, i couldn't believe it, nor justify that much money, so i told my husband we will make do...
We don't serve a "make do God" Monday I came home and had a big box on my front porch, I had a free gift sent to my home, A great big coffee pot, with the carafe....
See how much God loves us right down to our cup of coffee!

I was diagnosed with lung cancer while getting an operation on my leg that was broken and stayed broken for 16 years. I refused treatment for the cancer and called my church for people to come out and pray for me. they didn't. A month later a cat scan revealed that there was NO cancer in my body. I have copies of both cat scans as evidence. As of today my leg is also healed and I am out of the wheelchair for the first time in 16 years. My Old church didn't feel the need to bother with me so I called the Mormons, they came, they prayed, God healed. today I am a Mormon.
