lately i have been thinking about my faith. Atheism is the absence of faith. But i do have faith. Just not in god. Or the bible. I have faith in other things.
I believe in the after life just not heaven or hell.
I believe in i know it sounds weird but i believe in magic. The supernatural if u must. I don't think that magic is the devil's work. I believe that magic makes miracles.
So my question is if i am not an athiest what am i? Do i have a label. Because i was reading this book and it talked about faith. And i started thinking. I can't an atheist if i have faith right?

Want actual physical proof God exists. Here it is...

This is simply food for thought…

*Disclaimer:

I am not judging anyone. I believe in being fair. As a Christian I have always had to fight for my right to choose to believe that God is a living entity and furthermore (and more extreme) that Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and savior.
I do however love to hear other people’s point of view. So I said all that to say this, if you are going to write that I am “stupid” or that “people that believe this crap are _______”, or say "I can't answer this question because there is no God", please, please, please don't answer. I do not want be insulted. And likewise, if I have offended anyone with this question I do sincerely apologize.

There is proof that God exists. BECAUSE I believe in Him, His presence in real in my life, He talks WITH me, comforts me, heals my body and blesses my life abundantly.
I am first in line to say that this sounds down right "committable" but it is true. People who say there is no concrete proof of God have never allowed Him access to their hearts. Atheists say that if they could see God then they will believe in him. Well, I have seen God (not in the Looney Toons sense), but in my life and in my walk -He is there.

How can you believe that the chair you are sitting in is going to hold you each time you sit on it? Is it because you have actually sat in it time and time again? Is it because you know that it is of good quality and that it was built to last? Because other people have sat in that chair (even people who weigh more than you) and you have seen with your own eyes that it holds them up?

Apply that same reasoning to God. If you never believed in God or allowed Him the opportunity to be "real" in your life, how are you so sure he doesn't exist? I don't doubt that you are an intelligent person, but please, don't say that people who do believe in God are less intelligent than the person who doesn't believe. Believers and non-believers should call a truce. In the grand scheme of things it all boils down to freedom of choice. If you choose to have faith in God --GREAT. If you not to believe that God is real--GREAT!

Bottom line- don't get so bogged down in the religion debate, move on with your life! I'm sure you have more important things to do than to offend people who don't even know you.

Get over it. People are forever going to have conflicting views. If you want to live in a place where people are not allowed to have their own opinions, move happy tail out of America and go some place where they do not enjoy the freedom of Religion.

In Psalm 14:1 we are told, ‘The fool has said in his heart, There is no God! They acted corruptly; they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.’
Some of the so called fools who believe there is no god are James Watson (co-discovered the structure of DNA), Albert Einstein (regarded as the most important scientist of the 20th century) and Karl Popper (is considered the most influential philosopher of the 20th century).
Some of the people who have supposedly acted corruptly, have done abominable works and do no good are Warren Buffet (Donated 37 billion dollars to charity), Susan B. Anthony (Civil rights leader) and Lance Armstrong (7 times tour de france winner). Is it just me or does Psalm 14:1 seem foolish?

I'm mainly talking about the so called christians out there.

You claim to be trying to bring people to God but yet you are actually dragging them away. If someone is sinning you say that they will go to hell. You don't even try to help them. You tell them that they are evil and have no right to be in heaven.

What is up with that?

Plus you be like you people of God but you cuss and spit lies and deception for your own personal life. You do evil things under the name of God.

The real Christians out there are out numbered by you foolish men and women.

You guys is making us that are struggling out there to stay right with our faith, your making it difficult to us.

Please stop doing this. Your being ignorant and wrong.

Sometimes I wonder what is it to be an atheist. How does it feels like. I want to know if you feel you have a soul?

As a Christian I feel I have the spirit of my God inside me, and yes I have felt times when his Holy Spirit isn't inside me at all, and it is an empty feeling. I ask God to forgive my sins and touch me with his spirit and then I feel it again. I also feel it in my heart.

Do you feel you have a soul?

Why follow a man made institution when you can simply talk to God on your own? I talk to God all the time, look how good the country is doing.

Rapture use to scare me ALOT when I was 16 or so. But I have learned that every generation thinks theres is the last, so I am not to worried, I just kind of gave it up to God, and let it rest.

But I have been reading alot of people on the board, saying they fel uneasy, feel like its coming. Now I know there are still a few things to happen before Rapture, but how many of you feel a little uneasy? Has it changed recently for you? Why? Or have you always been worried?

I am not worried, but I did find the other day that one of the biggest predictions in the Bible was Isreal getting its land back, wich happened in the 1940s. Like I said, Im not worried, I am right with God, but why this sudden air of fear or unrest now? Does that mean something?

And, Who Created The Universe From Nothing?

The Noble Quran:

- (Surat al-Anbiya': 30)

Do those who are disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were sewn together and then We unstitched them and that We made from water every living thing? So will they not have faith?

- (Surat adh-Dhariyat: 47)

It is We Who have built the universe with (Our creative) power, and, verily, it is We Who are steadily expanding it.

You know how Jesus is our savior on earth, but of course we are not the only intelligent life in this vast universe. Did Jesus go to those other planets and help them?

Most creationists cite that life couldnt have crawled from primordial soup... that things were just "created" by god (I wonder what that would look like if you were standing there! would it just appear?)

Anyway, my question is this: Why do creationists ignore the explicit findings by Miller and Urey done decades ago?

They used a glass jar filled with basic earth elements (methane, ammonia, hydrogen, and water, all what makes up this "primordial soup") heated it, zapped it with electricity, cooled it over and over again... and in LESS THAN A WEEK there was evidence of amino acid strings, the building blocks of life.

Amino acids are what form your DNA among other things.

So yes, things can spontaneously arrange themselves. Why are creationists so stubborn?
