IN a discussion recently I tried to figure out if Satan would tempt me if I said my prayers out loud. But wont I be protected?I am conversing with God?

is telling a child he will rot in hell if he does not beleive in god ...is that evil? i just realized they teach that at sunday school. pictures of people rotting in hell. they tell the kids , age 5,6,7 , and some seem scared.
