Want actual physical proof God exists. Here it is...

This is simply food for thought…

*Disclaimer:

I am not judging anyone. I believe in being fair. As a Christian I have always had to fight for my right to choose to believe that God is a living entity and furthermore (and more extreme) that Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and savior.
I do however love to hear other people’s point of view. So I said all that to say this, if you are going to write that I am “stupid” or that “people that believe this crap are _______”, or say "I can't answer this question because there is no God", please, please, please don't answer. I do not want be insulted. And likewise, if I have offended anyone with this question I do sincerely apologize.

There is proof that God exists. BECAUSE I believe in Him, His presence in real in my life, He talks WITH me, comforts me, heals my body and blesses my life abundantly.
I am first in line to say that this sounds down right "committable" but it is true. People who say there is no concrete proof of God have never allowed Him access to their hearts. Atheists say that if they could see God then they will believe in him. Well, I have seen God (not in the Looney Toons sense), but in my life and in my walk -He is there.

How can you believe that the chair you are sitting in is going to hold you each time you sit on it? Is it because you have actually sat in it time and time again? Is it because you know that it is of good quality and that it was built to last? Because other people have sat in that chair (even people who weigh more than you) and you have seen with your own eyes that it holds them up?

Apply that same reasoning to God. If you never believed in God or allowed Him the opportunity to be "real" in your life, how are you so sure he doesn't exist? I don't doubt that you are an intelligent person, but please, don't say that people who do believe in God are less intelligent than the person who doesn't believe. Believers and non-believers should call a truce. In the grand scheme of things it all boils down to freedom of choice. If you choose to have faith in God --GREAT. If you not to believe that God is real--GREAT!

Bottom line- don't get so bogged down in the religion debate, move on with your life! I'm sure you have more important things to do than to offend people who don't even know you.

Get over it. People are forever going to have conflicting views. If you want to live in a place where people are not allowed to have their own opinions, move happy tail out of America and go some place where they do not enjoy the freedom of Religion.

How can you compare a concrete object like a chair to a figment of someone's imagination? That is simple assinine. God exists because YOU believe in him is great so that means ghosts exist because I believe in them. I also believe in equal rights for all, but that doesn't seem to exist, so what am I to do about the god issue?

There's a difference. A chair is physical evidence. A 'feeling' is not. Applying your logic in any serious court, whether it be as a lawyer, scientist, debator, or student, and you'd be laughed out of wherever you worked. In other words your 'evidence' is no evidence whatsoever.

Our physical senses allow us to experience the chair. There is not ONE physical sense that allows us to experience god, nor any other spirit or religious trapping.

when I was a child I believed in Santa Clause and God....as I grew older I stopped believing things other people told me, and began to think for myself. I then concluded that neither of them exist

You should give buddhism a try.

To answer your question, the reason why we can count on chairs and trust it to not fall on us because it has legs to hold the base.

God is a floater.

My perception:

Ever noticed you cannot SEE your own face?
Your reflection is not your actual face....
God is HOW you are able to recognize yourself.

Those old photos, where you forget everyone in them except yourself... God is HOW you are able to recognize yourself in them, even when your body looks different from that now and you've never actually seen your face for yourself to begin with.

God is HOW you are able to BE you..... you get to decide what you think that is.

Your body is WHAT you are IN, not WHO you ARE.

God is LOVE, TRUTH, JOY....... religion is humanity trying to explain God.
