Rapture use to scare me ALOT when I was 16 or so. But I have learned that every generation thinks theres is the last, so I am not to worried, I just kind of gave it up to God, and let it rest.

But I have been reading alot of people on the board, saying they fel uneasy, feel like its coming. Now I know there are still a few things to happen before Rapture, but how many of you feel a little uneasy? Has it changed recently for you? Why? Or have you always been worried?

I am not worried, but I did find the other day that one of the biggest predictions in the Bible was Isreal getting its land back, wich happened in the 1940s. Like I said, Im not worried, I am right with God, but why this sudden air of fear or unrest now? Does that mean something?

Please note, I am NOT worried, just picking up on the trend, especially on the board. Not concerned, dont need comfort, but thanks!

I suspect that a growing sense of unease is a natural part of growing up, and that the "End Times" notion has evolved to take advantage of that sense.

I grew up fully expected there to be a nuclear world war which would have quite possibly destroyed all human life. I no longer expect that to happen, and needless to say, I feel more at ease with respect to a disaster of that magnitude than I did in the first roughly 25 years of my life.

At the same time, I have not lived through a full-blown world war like my parents did, and I do feel more uneasy about the prospect of such a war now than I did through my young adulthood. I don't expect a major nuclear exchange, but there could easily be millions killed over the course of a couple of years.

More immediately, I am greatly concerned about the loss of the United States, as we continue to act irresponsibly with respect to finances (both personal debt and national debt) and the environment, and at the same time show a willingness to surrender our nation to the very kind of religious extremism that has attacked us repeatedly in recent years (al Qaeda, the religious right, the anti-abortion movement, etc.).

All of these are natural concerns, unrelated to any Biblical "End Times" notion, but can certainly explain a growing unease.

All of this is

The Rapture isn't scary, nothing to get uneasy about, except for worrying about lost loved ones. That's pretty sad. Most people think there is nothing else that has to happen for the Rapture to take place, if the Rapture comes pre-trib. Some folks think it's mid-trib, but in Revelation the church is here in Chapter 1-2-3 and then in Chapter 4, when He tells John "Come up here" the church is not mentioned on earth again when they start talking about the tribulation. The signs Jesus and the writers of the epistles talk about are happening faster and more often. Wars, earthquakes, natural disasters of all sorts, lawlessness, perversions, hatred, bloodshed, witchcraft, apostasy, drugs. All of this helps to usher in the end.

The only people that would have a cause to feel uneasy about the rapture would be those who are not born again, who do not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior, and whose lives do not reflect that they are, in fact, born again. That doesn't mean any of us is perfect, but a true believer will live a life that reflects what Jesus, and the bible, taught/teaches.

I have no doubt that I belong to Jesus Christ, and should the rapture come anytime, it would not make me the least bit uneasy. On the contrary, I'm ready to get out of this world any time!

Whenever something big happens like the current unrest in the Middle East, or the Tsunami, 9/11, then as Christians, we realise that all these are signs of the last days. As each crisis happens, we become more focused on the Rapture, but no one knows the day or the hour when it will happen. As long as we are ready, and living each day as if it were our last, seeking to put things right in our lives, and spreading the gospel, then we have nothing to fear.

Everything that needed to happen before the Rapture could, has happened. Now its just a matter of God's timing. It could happen any moment. Why fear? If you are a part of the Body of Christ, there's nothing to fear. If you've just been playing games with God, then you may have some time to get real. Whatever the case, get ready!

Almost all prophecies have been field you should read Jerusalem countdown by john hagee it will tell some good stuff The rapture will be next shortly. Another reason is because iran wants to wipe out israel and if they do that well that is God's Holt place there is no way he will go for that plus in the place where Jesus was born two kids were killed

I'm not worried because most of what is believed about the rapture can not be supported by the scriptures. There is no rapture

God's people will remain on this earth until Jesus comes to take them to heaven. This will not happen secretly as many suppose, but will be seen and known by everyone. Those people who refuse to accept Jesus before he comes will NOT get another opportunity to accept him because they will die; they will be the ones calling for the rocks to fall on them and will try to hide themselves from Jesus.

Whether you believe the rapture theory, or the way the Bible teaches, it still seems pretty scary. Each one of us has to ask "Am I ready?" I hope that I am ready, and I am looking forward to Jesus' return to this earth.

Yes, we are in the "End Times". Jesus said there would be signs and the unrest in the mid-east is the beginning of the birth pains as the Bible describes. Look up on the web and see what Jack Van Impe says about the end times. He can furnish all the answers from the Bible.
We have to trust in God and give Him all our fears and worries.
God Bless you.

Without turning this into a religious debate, take into account that most of these prophecies were written in such a vague, and poetic way, that if you read enough into them, they can be applied repeatedly...until they're proven right.
Most prophecies (biblical and otherwise) are victims of translations and interpretation. Something else to remember, and I'll use Nostradamus here, is that these "prophets" wrote so many predictions that they had to get something right at least once in a while. Imagine that you throw a stick in random directions 100 times. You're bound to hit something at least once or twice.
