Absolutely. God's word (the bible) tells us that He will "give back what the locusts took away". When I was a young woman, I was very promiscuous, not thinking at all about what I was doing. Later, after becoming a Christian, I was in horror of all I had done. At one point in time, much later, after I mended my ways, began studying the bible and living by His word...I experienced a difference in me....and that difference was that God had restored both my virtue and purity, as a woman. What a beautiful, clean feeling it was. That is the transforming power of Jesus Christ, and there is no one else who can do it.

Whether it's something from your past, or something you do today, if you confess, He will wash you white as snow. Praise God for His mercy!

Sometimes the hardest part is forgiving ourselves. If we turn back to God He is faithful to forgive our sins. But remember to repent means to turn from the sin. Build up your Spirit man by reading your bible and through fellowship with other believers and your worldly man will be weaker.

Are any of us over the age of 1 truly pure anymore? Can we gain our dignity back though? I believe so. By apologizing to those we have wronged and starting from that moment on to be the best person we can be, to ourselves as well as others.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

He was writing to Christians.
