Or would I be better to stick with my Cornish Piskie "Joan the Wad" door knocker for the wealth & luck she brings?

The Original books of the Old Testament were written in Hebrew, and the New Testament in Greek. They were translated into Latin Vulgate for the Cathiloc Church, who held a monolpoly on it. King James ordered a translation from the original text, so everyone could have a copy. They were to not add to, or take away it. They were to not include extra text, or margin writings. Scholars were hired for this work, from universities in the area. They were not paid, so that noone could claim the work to be tainted. 47 men translated, and there were 4 over seers to keep things in order. They worked in shifts on the same passages to make sure the translations were accurate. It was translated into 4 laungages, but just from the Single Original Manuscript. This took 7 years to complete.

Now tell me, can we get over the whole "translated so many times, over so many years, by unaccountable men" stuff? Believe the Bible or not, cant we agree the translation is accurate?

I know that I would die in a micro-fraction of a second because nobody can stand in his presence, but I think I'd want to see God anyway even if I died

Have you ever thought about why we pray in the name of Jesus Christ? What is the meaning of that? I'm not questioning wether we should or not, because I feel that it is right that we should, but I don't know why a prayer sounds incomplete without ending it "in Jesus' name, Amen". When the Lord was teaching his deciples how to pray, he doesn't end in his name, but he did say that nobody gets to the Father but through him. What are your thoughts on this? How would you describe what that means to you?

There have been done tests, and the only way a human body can be suspended on a cross is by inserting the nails in ones wrist, not hand. So why did Jesus asked Thomas to check His HANDS and not wrist ? Am I missing something ?

In the end when it's all over there won't be religions and non religions screaming there views are right there will only be those that are right and those that were wrong.
Instead of arguing and geting all stupid right now how bout we call a truce and respect each others views till that day comes and those that are right can say " see told ya so"

Post me all the theories you got, someone told me the "monkey" theory and the "Big Bang Bang" isn't the only one, so I invite you to educate me more with your believes.

I am bored and want to amuse myself. I hope you post the theory that our creators were aliens from another planets, kind of reminds me of a movie I saw on the SciFi channel one day that put me to sleep.

Go ahead. Try to Convince me, since you are so smart.

You have even motivated me to sign up for an Evolution class in my college, but not because I believe in it, because it sure is going to be an easy A.

I moved here just 3months ago and thought it was a blessing, and things have gone sour and I need to find another home. I had been to an apartment and I love the outdoors to be couped up like that. I really want to go to a house even if its renting. I have been praying for two days and just feel distant from God , but I want His guidance and for Him to open the new door for me. I don't know where to go, I am in my late 50's and so hard on me to do this moving, I need the strength as well. Will you pray for me?

Who can tell me all of the books of the bible known to man THAT WERE DELETED BY THE CHURCH way back in the day. Also, have you read any other version of the bible other than the King James version? You do know that this version was rewritten by Shakespeare himself don't you? And if this is the only bible you know, how can you call yourself a true christian when you've never read the latin version? there are so many mistranslations that its essentially a completely different book! What is "Hades"? Well, hades is latin for the sound your body makes when it hits the bottom of your grave. Did you know that? what else do you know about the real bible?
