Post me all the theories you got, someone told me the "monkey" theory and the "Big Bang Bang" isn't the only one, so I invite you to educate me more with your believes.
I am bored and want to amuse myself. I hope you post the theory that our creators were aliens from another planets, kind of reminds me of a movie I saw on the SciFi channel one day that put me to sleep.
Go ahead. Try to Convince me, since you are so smart.
You have even motivated me to sign up for an Evolution class in my college, but not because I believe in it, because it sure is going to be an easy A.

Earth Angel a theist is a person who believes that God or other gods exists. Is a person who studies religions and spiritualism. I have been 12 years in a christian school and I don't know what a theist or theologist is?
hmm you kidding me?
And your spell didnt work. You know the one to stop making believe in God. It just made me feel kind of sleepy, and kinky, and a little hungry, to tell you the truth.

I hope you are not still bored. Looks like you have alot of answers to your question. First, I am not an atheist. I have been on this site for about the same amount of time as you. At first I was astonished at some of the questions, answers and comments. It made me very sad. I consider myself to be a very spiritual person with an open mind and yet sometimes I felt like I was being attacked and ridiculed by some of the "atheists" answers. I decided to check into it and learn what I could. I still may not agree with what they believe but I changed my mindset about how I view them. They won't like what I did to change my thought process, but so far it has worked. Try and view atheists as a separate belief/religious system. I found out some of what they believe through the American Atheists Association:
Man must hear and help man
We must face the consequences of our acts
Life is a struggle against preventable and unpreventable evils. The cooperation of humankind is the only hope of the world
There is no chance after death to "do our bit."
We must do it now or never.
Man must hear and help man
The last thing I have done is learn not to be angry at people. A true Christian would not curse a blind man for being in the dark.
Treat all people with respect....always. The good thing about life is that it is a growing learning process. People change their minds all the time.
I don't mean to come across as telling you how to think, I just wanted you to take a step back and not feel like you have to defend yourself.
And think about this...if the religion and spirituality section could only be used by Christians wouldn't that be a bit like Sunday school. One of the good things about this section is that it is NEVER boring and it always gives me something to think about...even if it's just to wonder about how crazy we all can get.

Well, since I am neither a god nor goddess, and I am not very educated on the evoltuion theory but I have seen a history channel show that mentioned the lack of human remains showing we evolved from some human/primate creature. However, my doubt of the evolution theory certainly does not mean I'm going to take the word of a book that contains hypocritical verses and claims that a masculine deity is a creator. For a deity to be so concerned about being known as the only deity that 4 of his 10 commandments are about that, there is nothing in the world around us to 'prove' the masculine aspect is capable of creating. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a 'feminazi'-I've never heard of a female animal or human conceiving on it's own, but a male can't even support the growth or nurture of life, much less create anything.
That, and there's not a lot to support the stories (in the Bible)and it has no references. What makes you think that if one theory is wrong, then that automatically makes another theory correct?

There's the "How lazy can a theist be" theory!
You are so lazy that you don't even know the difference between a theist and an atheist.
You do know you are a theist if you believe in god or gods?
Atheists are called that simply because they don't share the theistic belief in god or gods,
Atheists don't have any special theories, evolution is not a theory of atheism it is a scientific theory, so if you want to know of some other scientific theories I'm sure there are plenty if you ask a question about them.

It appears that, billions of years after the big bang, following the formation of galaxies, the Universe was overtaken by some form of dark energy that is causing the expansion rate to accelerate. Although dark energy was unanticipated and has no particular role in the big bang/inflationary picture, the general view has been that it can simply be added by fiat to the initial make-up of the Universe. There is no compelling reason for a new theoretical approach. Quite the contrary, many cosmologists regard the basic cosmic story as being settled.

haha, im very religious but will play along with your game.
It is apparent that Aliens have come to earth and established this marvelous place. Why are we the only ones in the universe? Well because the aliens keep us under mind control and have us in giant test tubes which they use in chem experiments. That is what we are: a microcism of the alien world. They chaged us over time and made us evolve from monkeys to humans. Wow it is so amazing, why then are there 6-7 diff primate species? who knows, maybe it is the aliens way of confusing us. trying to waste our time with the questions of existense.
Or we could just come to the conclusion that God created the heavens and earth and that the crazy president of Iran is the anti-Christ who will soon nuke Israel for their attack on Lebanon and other arab countries, which the US joins sides with Israel and the battle of good vs. evil begins before Jesus returns and saves those who have stayed true to the good book.

I understand what a thought is. i be responsive to ways the flexibility of evolution works - this is incredibly no longer all that perplexing to entice close, and that i'm no longer even a scientist. the assumption of evolution is without doubt one among the main suitable-supported theories ever, and discoveries in distinctive fields lower back it up - new discoveries are consistently being made. there is not any disaster and the assumption isn't on "existence help". in case you quite believed that technology exchange into god revealing information on an incremental foundation, you would be solidly in the back of the assumption of evolution instead of disputing it on a foundation of lies and warm air. As for the attention, this is genuine Darwin mentioned that for the period of the beginning up look it may look too complicated, yet then he went directly to assert that it exchange into completely possible, and defined the way it could have worked - a technique shown with the aid of analysis of numerous styles of eyes and the genetic mechanisms that bypass into forming them. the attention, extremely than being the main suitable weaknesses of evolutionary thought, is one among its ultimate strengths.

I think that the big bang holds some merit. However we know too little to prove it. Why am I still an Atheist? Well I do know that at the time the bible was written, it was a necessity. There was no law of the land. If you look at the facts, religion is the number one way of socially committing murder. Amazing that something that is supposed to teach goodness kills our fellow humans the most!

You are bored and want to amuse yourself. Do you honestly think it is right to treat others as though they were just there for your amusement. Would you like to be treated as such?
I do not care which belief system a person decides to follow; however I find it disrespectful to a person; no matter the belief system, to be a mere object in someones game.

hey mypublicincident, i also agree that the Big Bang theory holds merit, but if you look into that theory, you will realize that it could have only happened with a supreme creator working above the laws of physics(God). check it out
And R.H., you should look into that, many of the top scientists have, and still do believe in God, or at least a supreme creator.

Because hypocrisy and narcissism are soooo Christian... You are a self righteous religious nut. I don't see any of us trying to convince you of anything. What happened to respect of other peoples' cultures and beliefs..... ? People like you are the reason I believe what I do. By the way, that certainly didn't sound like "poking fun at" to me.
