God is someone invented by the human species to help us deal with the reality of the brutal and beautiful world we live in. The idea of being alone and helpless in this world is just to much for our consciousness. The consciousness which we believe makes us soo superior, but in reality makes us afraid. The word God has been used for good and evil, but negates the reality of a short time on a beautiful planet full of danger. I don't believe in God, but I pray all the time because life is scary and you could die any minute. If you were God, is this the world you would have created? Blind faith in something unseen is the answer for many, and good, but don't push your beliefs on anyone else, or judge anyone else for not sharing them. Life is tough, believe what you will, but do no harm.

My favorite answer is: "A BEING than which nothing greater can be conceived." God is a being that is all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present. If you collected all of the imaginative concepts of the human and angelic beings in history it could not come close to the infinate reality of God.

God is just the word and it has no meaning to most Atheist. But if you reverse the spelling then it would mean a pet animal which is good to have at your house if you love dog.
