There have been done tests, and the only way a human body can be suspended on a cross is by inserting the nails in ones wrist, not hand. So why did Jesus asked Thomas to check His HANDS and not wrist ? Am I missing something ?

Yes, you are missing something.
1. Jesus did not die on a cross. Have you heard of the term, "torture stake?" This indicates an upright stake, like a tree, with no piece across. Just one upright piece of wood.
2. It is actually impossible for a human body to be suspended on a cross and stay there unless it is nailed in more places than the wrists and feet.
3. The Romans did nail the criminal's hands, not wrists, to the stake. The point of the "torture stake" was just that, a torturous horrible death, not by bleeding to death, but by slow and painful suffocation. The only way the criminal could breathe was by lifting up with his hands, taking a breath, then exhaling while letting himself back down. Terrible, isn't it? But this is what Jesus went through in behalf of mankind, although he was perfect and did not deserve death.

Well DUH! Jesus was asking thomas to see the wounds in his hands, not asking what the "time of day" was?

NO, SERIOUSLY: There are differing "schools of thought" here as it is also now thought that the feet bore mast of the body weight, and therefore the nails didn't need to placed through the wrist... there would have been a greater chance of hitting a major artery if they had nailed through the wrist. No, it is now believed that the hands would have been completely possible on the cross, as Jesus was bound to the cross at his feet.

Yes, you're missing the point. Why did Jesus talk in "children's stories" instead of handing out all the answers?

Because he wanted us to seek His Word. He wanted us to "do our homework."

You are no different than those who mocked Jesus Christ as they led him to be tortured and killed for us all. But you know what? He died for YOU anyway. And he died for all of us. We just have to put away are childish ramblings and wonder how great a love this could be, that he would die for us---and for those who mocked him.

2 Chronicles 36:16
But they mocked God's messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the LORD was aroused against his people and there was no remedy.

Psalm 35:16
Like the ungodly they maliciously mocked and they gnashed their teeth at me.

Psalm 74:18
Remember how the enemy has mocked you, O LORD, how foolish people have reviled your name.

Psalm 89:50
Remember, Lord, how your servant has been mocked, how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the nations,

Psalm 89:51
the taunts with which your enemies have mocked, O LORD, with which they have mocked every step of your anointed one.

Matthew 20:19
And they will turn Jesus over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!"

Matthew 27:29
They then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand and knelt in front of him and mocked him. "Hail, king of the Jews!" they said.

Matthew 27:31
After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.

Matthew 27:41
In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him.

Mark 15:20
And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him.

Mark 15:31
In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. "He saved others," they said, "but he can't save himself!

Luke 23:11
Then Herod and his soldiers ridiculed and mocked him. Dressing him in an elegant robe, they sent him back to Pilate.

Luke 23:36
The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar

Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Because Jesus never came back from the dead. He was a human being just like you and I and when he died, he stayed dead. Everything beyond that is just a fairytale- a mythology. A conversation between the living-dead zombie Jesus and the apostle Thomas never happened. It's fiction. Do not analyze fiction.

Perhaps he was tied to the cross at the wrists and nailed at the hands?

Well, the KJV was translated from a council at Nicene to further solidify the roman empire for solely political reasons in 325 AD by a bunch of men of the king, not men of god, so we must look at that as a mistranslation

We think of a cross for the Crucifixion, but sometimes the Romans used a stake alone and the person was probably tied to it. They may also have been tied to the cross in various places. The exact scenario is unknown.

I'm an Atheist. I have read a lot of different versions of the bible and I agree with the Christian view that the translation is imperfect. You must remember that the early translators may have "adjusted" it to suit their purposes. As it was written by men that would explain a lot of the mysoginism in the bible. I'm male by the way.

I was told by a minister that the Romans Nailed his hands and his wrist to make sure he was secure when I asked that question in church.
