I have heard ranting on religious radio station about this. Surely Harry is the 'good' fighting the 'evil' that is Vordemont; bit like David and Goliath (a popular biblical story); or jesus against the devil in the wilderness. I just wonder that's all!

i feel like i'm a believer in fate. "whatever will be will be" ya know. but sometimes i get caught up in the whole good luck/bad luck thing. can a person believe in both? b/c if one believes that everything happens exactly when it's supposed to, all the time, does that really leave space to believe in "luck"?

Where do you get your facts? I ask people what they believe and why. I do not assume I know. I don't and am willing to admit it. Where do these misconceptions come from?

I know of a man who is a devout minister who refuses to share Christmas dinner with his sister since she has been divorced. Is this what Jesus intended?

I know people have free will and I don't "look down" on others for their beliefs. But, I just can't help but feel genuinely heartbroken for those who aren't in the light. I'm not trying to offend anybody, I just want to know if any other Christians and people of faith feel this way.

You need to understand that most of what Christ stood for and said has been destroyed by organized religion, and that Satan-like Christians are in control spreading fear and guilt in order to stay important.

Do Christians not have dictionaries ?? Look up atheist, then look up religion. Religions are beliefs in supernatural entities or divine powers. How again is atheism a religion then ???

i ask because i know that christians believe that accepting christ as your lord and savior is the way to heaven. but what if a person is "saved" but does wrong all the time, basically doing what they feel like doing. they still get to go to heaven if they are saved but cheat, steal, fornicate, lie, or whatever?

I'm a member of the Catholic Church and I would die for the Lord whom I believe, I hope, I trust, I adore, and I love in the Blessed Sacrament.

''Jesus'' isn't an Aramaic, Arabic or Hebrew name, is it? So where did it come from? And what do you think His original name might have been?

seriously what is the difference? the muslims were there for over a thousand years. the germans killed a bunch of jews and all of a sudden arabs are expected to bow down and give up their land. muslims are considered religious extremeist but so are the zionist, and christian people who support them by claiming it to be their land. what is the difference? would like to hear serious answers only.

I always thought specially religion is a nice subject to think about, to discuss, and to disagree on. I know lots of Christians I have the most beautiful debates with. We will never agree, but i truly think we both learn and grow from those debates.

Latety i have the feeling this forum can best change its name to "Atheist vs Christian Fight".
it's (and i randomly copy two given answers now):

"when are you atheists going to get a life and stop Mocking, harassing, judging, conemning, Disrespecting, And Insulting Believers On This Religious/Spiritual Site!......Are You Jealous Because you don't know GOD and don't have a personal relationship with GOD like the Believers Do!!!...You guys must be very UNHAPPY!......MISERY LOVES COMPANY!"

versus

"Christians are sooooooooooo stupid with there stupid boooook!!! There is no GOD, YOU DUMBNUTS!!!!! It's ALL fake!!!"
------------------------------------
Any thoughts on how to stop this shallow debate?

If less than 10% of childbearing aged Christian couples actually adopt unwanted or orphaned children in our country and sadly just as small an amount of Christians offer to become foster parents what is this saying about our so-called Christian values?

With this being the case, wouldn’t it just be possible that many scared, lonely, poor and confused young pregnant women in our country wouldn’t even consider having an abortion if they believed they had more options? If they believed that just maybe the child that they can’t raise would actually find a good loving home? Instead of ending up in some poorly run, underfunded state orphanage? Or placed in some unsympathetic foster system where professional care people take the children because of the state money?

Desperation arises from lack of options.

Offer more options and there would be a greatly reduced amount of aborted children. It’s that simple.

(By the way, the excuse line is on the left.)
