individuals and the sins of others and not about the love, forgiveness, peace, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ? Why as believers in God (Jesus Christ) your approach to individuals are so arguementive, judgemental, and mean spirited - none of the characteristics of our Lord and Savior - Jesus Christ? Do believers in God (Jesus Christ) believe someone will come to the Truth of Jesus Christ - in that manner? Answer everyone - it doesn't matter what your faith is - or if you have no faith - please answer - I've often wondered how others feel when they see and hear these exchanges! Also I wonder about others of different faiths - or no faith! Thanks! I believe in the God (Jesus Christ)!

What does this represent/mean?
I just watched a movie where they did this, and I've heard of it before, but I've no idea which religion(s) do this.
Thanks! :)

Seriously, I dont want to lose my friend or her to turn into a weak minded person but her new palls are Christians and they are trying to brainwash her. I care for her and I know myself religion is dangerous. Or should I just leave her to it.

Why not just punish the bad and reward the good? I beleive in god but why should I, he or she's never done anything for me - and i'm generally a good person!

Really how do you justify this? Not only does the bible itself say that it is wrong, and a sin to pray to anybody other then God. But she is only mentioned a handful of times by name. Whats the deal?

And really, if you are only going to bash religion in general why bother even answering? This question is not for you, and you will only make yourself look foolish to try and prove a point, where there is no point to be made!

I am not christian, nor catholic, but I was wondering where did Satan come from? Is he another god, or where did he come from?

Why do Catholics worship the saints when they have Jesus? Is Jesus not enough to put the their whole faith into?
I love the saints. I respect their teachings, and what they did for their people, and what they did for us, but I don't believe they wanted us to worship them, or pray to them like we would to Jesus.
I was raised a Catholic, and I never got the whole concept on why do we whorship saints when we have Jesus.

Hey Christians, Jesus said "go the second mile" and "give to him who asks of you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away."

Aurael and I are trying to have an *SSHOLE_OFF and nobody is voting, but I figured, considering the way the Christian Right got in there and got G.W. elected that what we need is a mass Christian movement to get behind our *SSHOLE_OFF.

So prove that you are willing to go the second mile and go to my *SSHOLE_OFF question on my profile and either vote there, or link to Aurael's profile from his answer there and vote on the *SSHOLE_FF under his Could I have Killed Three Innocent People Question.

Its all you Christian's, otherwise you are not doing unto me as you would like if you were in an *SSHOLE_OFF.

Jehovah's witnesses cannot have blood transfusions because of their beliefs. Is taking out insurance an affront to God?

Please don't tell me God created insurance because I can always say that God created blood transfusions!

I know insurance is about minimising risk, but if God is throwing that risk your way, shouldn't you take it on? Couldn't that risk be some kind of divine gift?

If I was god and i gave my only son to die by the hands of idiots to remove sins from man, Well that doesnt even make any sence for god to do that.
For god could do that with out putting his son through that he's god!
But saying he did do that isnt god the one making the sacrafice giving his only son to die a horrible death.
And you dont thank god that he would give his only son?
Thats not right.
I think the bible has been altered to do the oppisite offend god.
The bible says have no graven images so what do we do, carry a crusified jesus around and put life size ones in the church complete with blood and nails.
Thats not right.

Ok First of all I do not want to argue about whether He once lived or not.History concludes that He indeed once lived. (Read the answer I got for my question about A.D. & B.C.)

Amazing facts:

1.The name "Jesus" was a common name around Israel at the time He was around, but for some reason, this particular Jesus(the Christ) stood out of the rest of the other people who were called "Jesus".

2. During those times "cruxifiction" was one of the popular way of killing people. In fact it was as common as being shot with gun is in our day.So IF THERE WAS NOTHING POWERFUL ABOUT THIS JESUS, WHY PARTICULARLY HIS DEATH MADE SUCH A STIR IN HISTORY? Let's admit it, His death was remarkable that celebrating it has been kept for 100's of years.

3.Many religions believe in the existence of an Anti-God "Satan", especially Muslims! But amazingly, real Satanists do not curse the Qoran, BUT THE BIBLE & Jesus !They burn it in their rituals. They don't waste time fighting Muslims & other religions.

This question is meant to be respectful, please dont give me quick answers like "jesus loves you get saved" that does nothing for me.

How can a God that created everything be bound by rules and limits or defined by something like The Bible?

If there is an all knowing God then how can their be any such thing as free will because there is no real way out of that?

What if God decided to send all the Christians to hell instead? If God wanted to lie then he could lie and no one could do anything about it.

I believe that if there is free will then there is no God, and if there is a God then there can't be free will.

How can there be an all knowing God if we can make decisions.

Are you stupid??? The Constitution is not based on Christian doctirne, or values, it is based on the teachings of John Locke (a Deist) and written by Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin (deists) and even most of the signers were Desits including Hancock. The deists referred to the Universe as God, so the "In God we Trust" on our money is not referring to the Christian God, it is referring to nature and the way things occur on their own. This is not a Christian nation, sure the first peopel here were Christian and the majority of our citizens are Christian, but this country is neutral when it comes to religion, it advocates none and acknowledges none unless it is for tax purposes or if it is breaking the law.

Stop saying this is a Christian nation. If you honestly think it is, go to school, take some 200 level American history classes and actually pass, and above all, stop being so retarded.
