Religion & Spirituality - 16 July 2006

She has been in the hospital for almost 4 weeks,
with severe head trauma after her ex b/f beat
her. Doctors aren't having much success with
reducing brain swelling & fluid build-up. April is
having intense pain and diminished motor skills,
and I am very worried for her : (

She needs all the help she can get,
so please keep her in your prayers
to ask God for her complete recovery.

why do religious pro-life groups try to change the law for abortion, If God gave us all free will then surely the choice to have an abortion is included? I know it says in the bible that it is wrong but surely if ur anti-abortion u should just never have an abortion and let other woman decide what is right for them, instead of forcing ur will on everyone! This question is for the hard core atheist out there. Why don't you believe and accept Jesus? If you don't accept Jesus you only get to enjoy a few sins (anyway all the sins available in this world only leads to bad consequences - like AIDS, STD, broken lifes and families). But with Jesus, you can have eternal life and a life of peace and joys and hope and love for all mankind!

This morning I went to a Pentacostal church a friend had told me about. I was brought up in the Church of Christ, known for boring church services. Anyway, this congregation as the service went on got the "spirit" in them and they started dancing around pounding their feet on the floor, runninn around the sanctuary. It looked like some of them were having siezures. I have never experienced anything like it. I wonder if anybody reading this has ever had the spirit take hold of them like that. I think it must feel so exillerating, and make you feel so free. I'd love to have that experience.

Where in the Bible does it say you must be educated at a seminary in order to teach or preach? Isn't it really the Spirit of God doing the teaching or preaching out of a willing vessel?

In the Old Testament, Amos was a "regular guy" in his time--a shepherd and a wood cutter--but God asked him to "prophesy."
