Take a long look at God's creation. Pay close attention to the logical order of things like the smallest details about plants and animals. Cut open an apple, a lemon or any other fruit or vegetable. There is order, not random confusion. How do monarch butterflies know to fly to another continent for the winter, how to birds and animals know when to migrate or hibernate? To me these things and others like a beautiful sunset, the birth of a baby, wild flowers, mountains, etc. all point to the existence of a loving God that created order out of chaos when He created the universe. When you spend time looking at the world around you, there is no other explanation than the existence of God.

There is no way to prove it, it is based on faith which by definition is belief in something that is not based on logical proof or material evidence. One of the links given in a previous answer goes to a page on a scientist giving odds on Gods existence, that isn't proof that is a scientific guess. Then the person states that as scientific proof.

Rene Decartes proved that there has to be a "higher influence" that is greater than man. He's famous for the quote "I think, therefore I am". Many will argue some his points but it made perfect sense for him. MANY will also note that the Matrix Trilogy uses Decartes' proof to some extent.
I only remember the basics of it from my philosphy class but you can google his name for it. I'll try to list the points (hope they're correct)
*the brain/mind is what interprets the world around us. How come we dream and believe we're awake? Conclusion: We cant prove the world exists, only the thoughts our brains produce are real.
*how can I prove you're here with the same argument above. I can't. Therefore, you might not exist to me, you might be a bubble of a thought in my mind that I use to interact with. Conclusion: Nothing exists.
*"I think, therefore I am". Which means "I exist" as a being of thought. Therefore I exist alone at the VERY least.
*Is there anything that I couldnt have created on my own? Being a person's mind is limited, the thought of INFINITY and FOREVER-GOING could NOT have come from me. Therefore, there must exist one other person of thought besides me.
*How can this other being have given me the concepts of infinity? He must be more powerful than I am to even understand that. But for him to know about infinity, he cant be limited like me. Therefore, this other being has no boundarys of his thoughts and I interact with those thoughts. He has existed since my thoughts began. (This proves to him that a greater influence exists, God as a being of thought)
The next part got me a bit confused because it was about if God was deceiving me with an false enviroment. This part I can't truly prove right now.
I found Decartes' analysis very interesting, and this was BEFORE I saw the Matrix. Google "Rene Decartes" to get more information)

He healed me. He healed my child. He healed a little boy that was suffering with asthma so bad he couldn't be away from his nebulizer. He healed a man that was on oxygen. Simply put miracles. Something that doctors don't understand, scientists can't comprehend but they still acknowledge they are there. A study that was done not to long ago. Physicians had a prayer group pray for individuals that had surgery, they healed faster etc than the ones that didn't. Also there was no complications for the ones with prayer but there was with the ones without prayer. That was a news article on Yahoo. Anyone else read it. In trying to prove that the graciousness of Jesus Christ does not exist they succeeded in proving He did.

Cause and effect. Everything that has ever existed has a cause. So there must of necessity at some point in time have been a first cause, which was itself uncaused. This uncaused cause created the universe. You're left with two options
1) Universe itself
2) God/Intelligent being
The universe itself creating itself seems silly, and contradictory, since then it would not be uncaused. And yet the universe was clearly caused. So all you are left with is God. :)

I had my doubts that God exists after my mother and father dies of cancer 18 mos apart and my youngest sibling and only sister was killed by getting hit by a car while she riding her bike, at the age of 25, between when my mother died and my father died. I finally saw God, 8 yrs later (almost 6 yrs ago) when I gave birth to my son when I was 39. As soon as I looked into his face and eyes, I knew God existed.

there is NO proof either way, only faith and belief. You could have faith that there is a god, but you only have your own intuition to go on. on the other hand you could put your faith in science and believe that the earth is round, but how many of us have actually seen that for ourselves.
my answer is that you can ONLY go on faith and belief, but there is NO proof that a god exists.

well, if you believe in the big bang theory, it states that time started at the exact same moment the big bang took place. Time consists of all cause and effect phenomena, and since there was no time before the big bang, a supreme creator (God) had to be working above the laws of physics to be able to cause the big bang before time existed.

My answer to that is look at the world around you. Look at life, in all forms, human, plant, and animal. If you want to believe that this was all created all by chance, by swirling chemicals (Which by the way, where did they come from) that formed compunds to make life what it is, that's fine. However I believe that for life to exists as it does, someone had to create it. In my mind God.
