My friend informed me that when our girls were playing alone together in her backyard on the tramp with the garden hose, that (and they both tell the same story) they saw a snake. And then the hose started squirming around and spelling out letters. It spelled out "I'll take eight snakes or one of you." When I asked my daughter about it she said that it happened and is very freaked out by the whole experience. (tearful and doesn't want to talk about it)
I know that her friend was screaming that it must have been Satan after it happened. I'm totally distraught by this. I want to believe that it was just two little girls making stuff up...but my gut says otherwise. My daughter is very smart and kindof past the imaginary story phase. Anyway....what do you all think?

please tell me what you find offensive about my church. Right now we are working on two projects. We are stripping the lead based paint off of two houses in our neighborhood and repainting them. We are also mowing lawns, doing yardwork for elderly people in our area. We bring in food for local soup kitchens. We have sent flyers around the neighborhood twice a year advertiseing a clothing giveaway. we have a fall festival every year. by the way there is no charge for any of this. when my husband lost his job (he is an atheist) people in my church offered us money. one girl offered to type up a resume for him. when my son had surgery they brought us meals. i could go on and on. but i would like to know what about this offends you.

You Christians have become dependent on your belief like a drug addict depending on crack

You dont understand how could Atheists live without believing in God

We're not addicted. You're like a crack head thinking that everyone is better off getting high

I never used illegal drugs or believed in God. So, it's nothing to me

i went to a catholic school all my life and we had religion class everyday and i swear to god this is the first time i have ever heard that hell isnt real .wtf soooo where do all the bad people go when they die ?i dont get it do they all go to heaven even if the kill children and rape women .some of you guys might think im really stupid but seriously in school they told us that if you are bad and you arent sorry you go to hell ?so confused

Please no one take offense to this, I am not being disrespectful!
I have always wondered why they hand out a collections bowl in church, because in the bible it says that anything you need, god will supply (not in those words.. but it says, if you need food, god will feed you, if you need shelter, god will shelter you not sure exactly how it is) so why a collections plate for people to make donations?
(again this is not to offend and no disrespect is meant)

Since the only proof of gods is belief and books filled with the beliefs of other people, what would cause you to believe or disbelief? How do you believe the unprovable? How do you prove the unbelievable? God? No God?

I was born and raised a roman catholic. Ehen I was about 25 I wanted to baptise my youngest son...a priest told me I had to have my marriage blessed..one thing led to another and I became an athiest. One thing has pondered me... not one person can create a family tree to prove this"Almighty" being ever exhisted. Not everyone is mentioned and the ones that are, are so common. Without skipping anyone.. Start with Adam and Eve they were suppose to be the start. Insest? Makes you wonder if the bible is just a bunch of man=made stories from so called witches huh?

i asked in my other question if it is possible to see hell on drugs .i think i did one night i was on excasty and i smoked a blunt lol sounds pretty stupud yes i know but what i saw was crazy .it wasnt my first time on these drugs it was just that i was in a quite dark room with my boyfriend and i dont know anyways im to shy to say what i saw but it was sick .stuff that i have never seen in movies and it wasnt no stupid crap like people getting burned or anything .i saw babies and children .sick stuff really sick sh*T but i wasnt scared .most of the stuff i cant even remember .if you have seen sick things of hell and would like to share it please do .where you sober at the time ?if not what drug where you on

Is it because our esteemed president says to? Is it that small minds think alike?

It seems to me that people condemn other's beliefs out of fear, arrogance and ignorance (or a happy combination of the three).

Hate is ugly and it amazes me that so many never grow up enough to realize how much energy is takes to hate. I can't be the only one 'out there' who would rather educate myself about the the world and it's people rather than be so egocentric as to assume that I'm better than someone else simply because I happen to have born to a Christian family.

I kind of categorize those who hate non-Christians in like Nazi's who hated anyone who didn't have blond hair and blue eyes.

You would have to be a complete idiot to not see the pain and sorrow that hate is causing and has caused through out time.

How does anyone plan to God in the face and justify a life filled with hate? I'm ready to answer for my wrong doings but I'm proud to say that hate won't be one of them.
