God has stated the penalty for disobedience: “The wages sin pays is death” (Ro 6:23). What is “death”? Death is the opposite of life. God had held before man the prospect of endless life on earth if he obeyed. However, he disobeyed, and the penalty was death, unconsciousness, nonexistence. (Psalm 146:4) God had said nothing about transferring man’s life to a spirit realm or to a fiery “hell” if he disobeyed or died. He had warned man: “You will positively die.” It was the man-slaying Devil who had lied in saying: “You positively will not die.” (Genesis 2:17; 3:4; John 8:44) What all men have inherited from Adam is dustlike death.—Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10; Psalm 115:17.

But those who go into that nonexistent state should not flatter themselves with the thought that they are experiencing a salvation from life or existence. They are undergoing a punishment and are missing the eternal happiness of perfect life in God’s new world. “ … but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 6:23, NW)

Well hell is real but not the final destination. Hell is where all people (good and bad) go when they die it is where the dead wait till the resurection of the saints (saved in Jesus) and judgment day. Then, all those who don't belong to Jesus, the good and bad people who refused to take Jesus's free gift, will end up in the Lake of fire, along with the demons and also death and hell will be sent in the lake of fire.
Check Revelations chapter 20.
Don't be naive, hell is real but the lake of fire is where you don't want to end up.
If the catholics don't teach you the truth, then start with the Bible (the world of God) and pray the Holy Spirit reveles to you the truth. Ask God for forgiveness, and accept Jesus' blood as the sacrifice for your life, for your sins. Repent and walk like Jesus walked, not religion's lies. You will see the truth.

I assure you sweetie, there IS a hell, and a lot of very wrong people are going to find out just how horribly wrong they were when they die.

Hell isn't a place you're told about to scare you into being good, Hell is a place that exists whether you're good or not.

The greatest trick the devil ever played on humanity, was convincing them that he doesn't exist.

If you believe in heaven, you must accept the existence of hell. God will cast the wicked into the lake of fire (i.e. HELL). Read your bible, it will tell you plenty about it.

Good or bad, if a person hasn't been saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, they go to hell. It's unfortunate, but true.

It's not about being good or bad. It's about accepting Jesus. We're not good because we're afraid of going to hell. Jesus keeps us from hell even if we're bad. We're good because Jesus (and God) ask us to be, and as obedient children, we comply.

Hell IS real.

Whomever God judges as not worthy of heaven goes to hell...Even "good" people will go to hell if they haven't accepted Christ as Savior, and served God.

We picture hell for murderers, rapists, liars, etc...but in actual fact: They are only a small part of the population that will take up residence there. Unbelievers (who otherwise are moral living people) also have the "risk" of ending up there...

Again - All according to what God judges. Not me.

If there is any way for people to live on after death, then it has to be some technical/psychological means of transferrence to another level. IF so, then the teachings of "Accept the lord and you go to heaven" means that anyone who figures out how to do it gets into the afterlife. With that in mind, EVEN THE BAD PEOPLE GET TO HEAVEN, so the part of the bible that teaches you to 'turn the other cheek' or learn to live with your neighbor takes on a whole new importance, doesn't it?

Whether hell is real depends not on what the Catholic Church, or any other church, says, but on what Jesus Christ says. He says it is real. He talks more about it than anyone else in the New Testament. Surprising? He warns those who sin that they will wind up there. And not just "bad people" wind up there. There will be a lot of "good people" there who will be very surprised about it. Can we avoid hell? Yes! Jesus paid the penalty for our sin on the cross, and rose from the dead to prove his victory. By placing our faith in him, we can receive his forgiveness and not have to experience the hell that our sins deserve.

There is a hell, but it is not a horrible place like Christendom teaches. Death is likened to sleeping in the Bible. Jesus's friend Lazarus had died and this is the account at Luke 11:11-14: "These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. The Bible tells us that the dead do not feel anything
Eccl.9:10: " For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing--"
So the dead are not suffering--only in a deep sleep until God through his Son resurrects them back to life and there will be a resurrection of both good & bad people. Acts 24:15: "And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Hell is the common grave of mankind--Jesus has the keys of death and hell. He will resurrect all who are in hell and then they will be judged--some to everlasting life and the rest will be put out of existance. God is love and would never torture imperfect humans-
Satan tries to paint God as sadistic and cruel. This he has accomplished through the false teachings of Christendom.

It is impossible to prove the non existance of something and it is impossible to prove hells existance until you go there (and by then it is a moot point) There is no way for us to know what happens. You will just have to wait and find out!

Seriously, I did not mean that last line to sound like I think you are going to hell. I don't.

I would say that hell is real, and so is heaven.

Speaking only in the Christian context, heaven is a state of the soul when one dies believing that God can save him from the power of sin, and that is how the soul will continue to exist after death.

Hell is a state of the soul when one dies believing that not even God can save him from the power of sin, and that is how the soul will continue to exist after death.

There is no in between.

So if bad people don't go to hell, they go to heaven because they believe that God can save them from their sin, however serious it is.
