nothing at all, other than the fact that the believers of it try to make life on earth hell for everyone else.

It's easy to bash Christians, we're the latest group to be discriminated against, and the gov't has no guts to protect our rights, as equally as the protect people like you with your sorry attitude towards a major religion.
If you bother to read your bible, you will gain an understanding of what the religion is all about. Your question, labeling it a mythology already explains your outlook on the belief system of several millions of people. Attempting to explain it to you would be a waste of precious air.

Both man-made faiths and sterile knowledge can deliver compelling mythologies just as happened in ancient Athens.
Not sure about that? Here's what the latest scientific models are producing.
THE UNIVERSE EXPANDING, YET IMMEASURABLE, AND INVISIBLE, UN-OBSERVABLE DARK MATTER, the FAITH-BASED, SUPERNATURAL ABILITIES of CHANCE, and MIRACULOUS, DNA ALTERING MACRO-EVOLUTION.
No observation, no proof, no challenge - no matter. It's Science - or not,
I wonder if this is the "reality" you are referring to.
You'll find reality in a real man who died for your sins 2,000 years ago. Without absolute meaning from an absolute God of absolute truth you'll find no meaning at all in science or materialism. You will find yourself right where you started - searching for meaning. I hope you'll try absolute truth. Best to you, friend. God bless.

Actually, A lot less than nothing.
It has distorted it quite a bit for an awfull lot of people though.
I saw a sign on a church the other day that was asking parents to bring in the k through6 kids in for indoctrination.
It just makes me sick to see this.

Do you have a specific problem with Judo-Christian religions or religion in general? If the latter you questions should be suitably worded, if the former, explain why the non Judo-Christian religions have more to do with reality!

Nothing. Reality is Jesus Christ.
But I've got to admit, I've never seen a more beautifully structured sentence describing our faith from another's point of view.

The message of the story is what's important, not the actual details of what happened. The ancient Jewish writers were not as concerned with accuracy as we are today, and they certainly wrote neither a history book nor scientific document, so we should not take it as either.
What they wrote was a story to tell us of God's relationship with his people, that God ultimately desires to live among his people, and the knowledge of which will bring them happiness.
All God desires is our love for him, which is a necessary condition to see him among his people, for to love one another is to see the face of God. And with love, it must be a choice, not just a feeling.
Hence, in order for us to choose to love God, we must have the choice to not love God as well. This is one of the messages of the Genesis story - that loving God is a choice, and choosing not to love God means that we forfeit the capacity to see him in our lives.
