Back in the day, your parents could get you outa class on Fridays to learn about your religion. It was way cool...

Why can't they do that again?

Let's say you die tomorrow - hypothetically - and you finally find out that there is no such thing as god. Would you promise to not come back and tell me?

Some say it will be the greatest war of all. Others say that the beasts troops will gather against Gods' people and that God will just simply kill the bad guys. I know this is simply put, but what do you think?

Most people would concur to say that Drug use came into being because of the psychodelic era that was generated by Rock-n-Roll and anti-war movement offered an escape through drug use and that it was also a way to tell the establishment to buzz off-we weren't going to take it any more-This was exclamated during a time that America was reaching it's peak and was considerably respected because of the views of The Baby Boomer Generation who protested out loud and in unison that we did not want to kill or die for a war effort that we didn't believe in-With the escalated activity of late I wonder where all of these flower children have gone-I mean the violence and sex that proliferate the music today is not the message I feel that the world can respect from America and what they are seeing are our children-Americas future-involved in Gang violence-Gangsta Rap-and Explicitly Sexual messages-is this the America that you want to live in? Is it OK because your kids say it is the style? CHRIST!

Doesn't science say that your thoughts are nothing more than biochemical processes, so whatever you think or feel is essentially meaningless, and has no basis in objective reality. If you so strongly defend Darwinism, why can't you apply it to your own lives, and just accept that there is no purpose beyond survival of the species instead of pretending that you're here for some purpose.

And if your answer is "because the christian schools are to expensive for some people" then explain that to me...why is your fellow christian taking advantage of Gods word and taking advantage of your desire for your child to learn in a Christian environment to maximize his profiting from you?

Well first I have to say I am an atheist. But why do we try to convert people of other religions to atheism. I mean I respect other people's religion and I usually try not to get all preachy and tell them well duh God isn't real. I think unless we our challenged we should lay off a little you know?

I'm Christian, and people are always saying that we discourage magic because it involves Satan and yadee ya, and that Jesus is the only God. Well that is not entirely true because I have friends who happen to practice witchcraft, and they don't believe in Satan, I've read books and in most cases he's not involved. Plus I also believe that there is more than one god, because different countries have different religions. Sure some are Christian, but look at Buddhist, Hindus and Native Americans for crying out loud! They all have different Gods for different things.

From what i've learned, if you don't believe in God and don't worship him in a certain way you can't go to heaven. Would God really throw out all of those people who don't believe in him, not because they choose not to, but because they never heard of him?

It seems most (not all) Christians on Yahoo Answers actually believe it is their mission to belittle all "non-believers" in an attempt to convert them.

Do they not understand how truly obnoxious and idiotic their behavior is? Do they not understand that the world doesn't revolve around them? Do they not understand that Christianity is only 1 out of thousands of religions that mankind has and does subscribe to? The arrogance is astounding. What happened to the meek inheriting the Earth?

Save the Bible quotes please. For every one you can give that you think proves you're destined to witness, I can give you 2 more that'll say you're not.

Open your minds people? I understand there are some good, non-judgmental Christian folks amongst us. I'm not coming down on you. But please understand, the pious Hellfire Christians are giving you an awful name.

And yeah, it's more of a statement than a question. Consider it a public service announcement

It doesn't matter who posts in this section, but every single question it seems is completely attacked by people from the other side. If a Christian posts a question, there are atheists all over it with reasons why there is no god. If an athiest posts a question, then Chritstians do exactly the same thing with reasons why there is a god. Why? If a question doesn't concern you, why can't people just leave it be? Do you really think that berating someone for their beliefs will accomplish anything? No wonder the world is messed up.

I was wondering if anyone would happen to have scripture that would support or not, the belief of attending one church, and becoming a member of one church. I have been in church for awhile and love the Lord dearly. But, I am not sure that I agree with the way so much is put into having to belong to one "church building", doesn't that almost take away from the Body of Christ as a whole? And, begin to put the focus on man instead of God....I think that is way there is so much division in the church today b/c instead of being faithful to the work of God, we are being faithful to the work of men. Allowing the focus to be the number in the pews, instead of the number in Heaven....So, if you know of any scriptures that tell us we have to be a member of one church, and be faithful to that one church please send it to me....Thanks Starr

If this guy is your example of Christian Charity then you can keep it!
Has this guy ever heard of:
Charity?
Loving thy neighbor?
Turning the other cheek?
TURNING THE ALL CAPS BUTTON OFF?
He seems hateful and spiteful and it seems like the only reason he set up an account was to dog Mr. Jim.
Christianity huh?
What say you about this jerk?

Does the bible not tell "christians" not to judge others regardless of who that person is? Why do Christians believe their religion is better than anyone elses? Why is it that if you don't believe in what they believe in do they automatically tell you that you're wrong without giving you a chance to explain your reasoning?

My pastor has insisted on having counseling meetings with my wife every Tuesday evening for the past two years. So, every Tuesday night I have stayed home and made dinner for myself and the kids while she was with him. She won't tell me what they talk about but she says that they spend most of their time on their knees just praying to God. I can't imagine what she's done that requires all these sessions with the pastor. Shouldn't she be forgiven by now? Should I be worried that my wife has committed some sins like overeating or blasphemy or even worse that she has become a religious fanatic or something? Please help me.
