From what i've learned, if you don't believe in God and don't worship him in a certain way you can't go to heaven. Would God really throw out all of those people who don't believe in him, not because they choose not to, but because they never heard of him?

There is an innate goodness in all of us that is for (lack of a better term) "hard wired in" by God.
If the person has never heard of God, but follows that goodness "wired" in them, then they are following God, and will be welcomed with great rejoicing in heaven.
If despite that goodness that is "hard wired in" the person chooses to ignore it and do bad/evil things, then they would not be welcomed.
It really is as simple as that.

As far as worshiping in a certain way -
Matt 22:34-40 says "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it" 'Love your neighbor as yourself'
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

If you are not able to do the first commandment because of lack of knowledge, you can still follow the second.

Hopes this helps at least a little bit.

You go to heaven because you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and not because you worship in a certain way. The people who don't know God yet are going to get their chance. God wants everyone to come to Him. We are in times now where more people than ever are being reached by way of TV and internet.

okay well first off that is JUST a BELIEF not everyone belives that and I don't believe in god or heaven and hell. Also after reading the Da Vinci Code I want to consider myself a christian even less for reading about what they did, (coping pagan beliefs/symbols than calling pagans devil worshipers or some such, also hiding documents that prove christ was married and had a child and also hiding/destroying documents that prove the church falsified the bible or changed it to better suit themselves) now I know this isn't completly proven nor 100% accurate that's my take on it. But yes to get back on topic, for god to punish someone for not believing in him becasue they've never heard of him or have been forced to believe in another religion would proably contradict one of the laws or "commandments". But on another off topic note I think "god" would let anyone in to heaven that didn't believe in him because they need proof of something to be able to believ in it because the way they think does not allow them to blindy believe in someone or something. I am like this and I've seen much evidence of things that contradict facts in the bibles and my current beliefs would contradict some things that the church has said.

Scott,
Many people ask that even when they have a God of their own. People might blame u for not knowing, but hey as i was taught God forgives and accepts all. Even children who are small and innocent and have not yet understood God. However if u dont believe in god.... ur heaven is the one you make for yourself. i who have a God and believe in him, dont picture my heaven as a paradise, but having myself w/o pain. Just live a good life be kind and you'll deserve the heaven u deserve, what ever u want.

By the time we get to the End Times everyone will have heard of Him. Worship in a cerain way.... that's interesting. The last time I looked He wanted us to believe that Jesus is his Son and to love one another. We worship him by words and deeds... not a service in a building. seek ye first the kingdom of God no the kingdom of this world and how it says to worship Him.

---Nobody deservers heaven. We are all sinners who deserve to be condemned. God is not wrong for keeping anyone out of heaven for what he/she has done. Read Romans 3:9-17.
---Those who have faith in Him will be saved. Those who do not hear about him have no excuse. The Bible says in Romans 1:18 - 20, "18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."
---Do not be deceived by people who say it doesn't matter what you believe. They seem to care so much about people, but many of them don't care about what God says about this matter. God cares about those people that haven't heard of him more than anyone else cares about them.
---I care about people too. That is why I tell people about Jesus. So that they can go to heaven. God so help me, I would give my life for 1 more person to get to go to heaven.

okay the only really way to get into heaven is to accept jesus as your savior, believe that hes real (obviously) and believe that he died on the cross for our sins...

this is what people call being saved

if you read in the bible you will find what your looking for so if you really are confused read it :-)

you cant go to heaven and then be saved just to let you know your chance is now on earth no wheres else

Yes, he would toss them into hell, because Jesus is the ONLY way to get to heaven. NO EXCEPTIONS! Too bad if you never heard of him, or you were only a baby or young child when you died, or you were aborted. If God made exceptions for them, he'd have to do it for everyone, and then where would it end??

The Bible says (and I can't remember exactly where) that people are not punished if they don't know any better. This includes young children and those who have never heard of God.
