If you are a JW that chats, witnesses, whatever on the internet...Is this encouraged or discouraged by the society and do you, or should you count the time spent on the internet as a way to make your monthly hours quota instead of going door to door if physically able to? Most of the witnesses that I personally know are very fearful to research, dicuss, or even read any other religious or clergy viewpoints. I am not against this, I think it's great!....just curious as I hear so much from witnesses about the evils of the internet. Most witnesses would never read a tract, or accept any other religious denominations materials So Is it okay for some and not for all?

1 Chonicles 17:4-6
4 “Go and tell My servant David, ‘Thus says the LORD: “You shall not build Me a house to dwell in. 5 For I have not dwelt in a house since the time that I brought up Israel, even to this day, but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another. 6 Wherever I have moved about with all Israel, have I ever spoken a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’”’

Is it because it was going to isolate God?

when I ask questions relating to the Bible and so many of you are so knowledgeable out there? Thank you for your thoughts and knowledge. I ask questions because I HAVE questions. That is the only reason. I don't like to judge people (not that I never ever do as I am not perfect - darn it)!! I have trouble reading the bible from beginning to end (went to bible study/grew up in church). I have questions and I don't think it is a bad thing to ask these kinds of things on here. So HOW do I pick best answers???? So confused.

If an atheist has no belief in God then they would have no belief in the ten commandments ( they would be just words) or any religious symbols they would be just objects. so why are they suing to remove all these things from society if there just words and meaningless symbols then why bother.
Or is it the fact that athiests want to do away with these symbols of God because they do not want to have to deal with the fact there might be one. sounds like the "there were no signs posted didn't tell me so why am i in trouble rule".......

I want to know if you should capitalize the word atheist. I know that if you say, "I am a Christian." then you capitalize Christian. What about atheist? Is it "I am Atheist" or "I am atheist".

This is a serious question, so please, only serious answers.

I'm just wondering what happens to all the stuff that means the most to me... because without certain things, I don't think I'd want to be there.

And on the same note, will there be hangovers in heaven?

I do not have a television, so I am not as connected as others. Yet I have noticed increasing trends towards disposabiltiy in so many areas of life- packaging, mass-produced toys and gadgets, even advice (if something is not working for you, just get rid of it and find another one). This applies to pets, lovers, careers, vehicles, friends, employees, homes, etc. I agree that sometimes a good fit just is not possible, and that people and situations grow apart. But this trend distrubs me. Rarely do you hear advice that says, "put some thought into it and see what can be salvaged". It seems like true appreciation of an imperfect but well-worn object or situation or person is not valued. Am I the only one who sees things this way, and is disturbed by it? Where does love fit into this model?

Every time one of those preaching idiots knock at my door I abuse them. Why should I be polite to those that choose to invade my personal space and tell me how bad I am for not believing in Fairytales? Who the hell are they to go around trying to convert people under the guise of 'shareing' the word of what ever bollocks they believe in?

I'm 21 and single and it seems like when I talk to my peers about feeling lonely they tell me to get in the Word because it will truly satifsfy you. How can reading a book satisfy my phyisical desires? I mean the Bible can't hold me physically and let me know that everything will be alright. I'm a physical person and I need physical attention.

Why does religion stagnate in the beliefs of recent history, whilst human nature is to question and challenge 'truth', in order to understand the 'real' truth.

What are religious fanatics so afraid of?...That their long-held beliefs will one-day be disproven, whilst open-minded people fear nothing from greater knowledge?
