Every time one of those preaching idiots knock at my door I abuse them. Why should I be polite to those that choose to invade my personal space and tell me how bad I am for not believing in Fairytales? Who the hell are they to go around trying to convert people under the guise of 'shareing' the word of what ever bollocks they believe in?

take note of each time the stop by. WHY you ask? well. they are uninvited guests. It is much like someone who keeps calling you.
I would take down as much information as possible from them.
I would also give the church they are from a call. Warn them that
they are not welcome at your household and if they visit again you will contact the police. I used to have this problem with the JW'S and a good call to the head of the church somtimes helps get rid of these visits. Somtimes your local police department will callt hem on your behalf. If they won't stop comming by your home call the police.

Uh... calm down, maybe? Really, I see this a lot here. If it were an every day thing that Christians were knocking on your particular door, then I would understand that you would get tired of it. But, I live in the Deep-South-by-God-Bible-Belt, and I have had TWO Jehovah's Witnesses knock within the last 6 years.

Dude, just tell them firmly that you are not interested, ask them not to come back, then close the door. Simple as that. If they do come back, call the police.

I am a Christian, but I also sometimes get tired of people of different beliefs knocking at my door at all hours of the day telling me their beliefs. What I usually do is just simply (and before they start) let them know that I am a born again Christian who believes in Jesus as the One and only Savior as well as healing, water baptism and speaking in tongues. If they still want to talk (which by now they are usually backing away from the door apologizing for bothering me) then I am happy to share MY views as well as listen to theirs.

Just my two cents.

I'm a Pagan and a Wiccan so having a christian come to my door to save me is just about my vision of temporary annoyance. But that does not give me licsence to abuse them. They are genuinely trying to help people. Gently tell them you don't discuss religion with strangers on your doorstep and ask them to leave.
And if that doesn't work, you can always do what I do when they get pushy "I'm a witch, get off my property or I'll hex you AND call the sheriff."

While I sympathize, you're at choice to simply tell them that you're not interested. My father used to say that a "thank-you" is a throw away item for you, but reflects well upon your person... so show civility, son! You need only say, "...but thanks for caring, but no thanks!" give them a nod and a "G'day" then close the door.

If you become abusive, there is only the needless expenditure of your energy and they get this kind of treatment all the time... it will only serve to make them feel closer to "saint-hood." So if someone seeks to proselytize egregiously in your face, bow out graciously, and freak 'em out! Show them you're capable of acting with basic respect for others no matter how delusional you perceive their thinking to be. If they are "pushy" then all you need do is say " Sorry, I GAVE you my answer," and the close the door.

Sometimes, I wonder if part of them doesn't enjoy the abuse so if you give them what they seek, you're only feeding into their self-perceived 'superiority' and patented "worldview."

If they have the right to spend money on advertising and persuasion of voters, we as the voters should have the right to make their unwanted advances on personal property illegal.

I'm with ya partner!

I get even worse when they take it upon themselves to walk around my house through my yard to my backyard to come talk to me. I've shoved them, knocked them down told them to get the (**& off my property before. If they didn't leave I'd knock the **** out of both of them in self defense. Course I don't do that no more.. I'm much more civilized. I gotz me an alarm system with hella loud bells, whistles - I love it.

If shooting people for trespassing wouldn't land us in jail (gdam judges) I would be a much happier man.

Yes, you are wrong.
First: They are not invading your space.
If they are truly Christian, when you ask them politely to leave, they should.
Second: Its only your opinion that they represent fairytales.
If it is truly fairytales, listen and REFUTE what they say.
If you can't refute, maybe its not fairytales.
Third: Ask yourself, if God had a message for you how would you expect to receive it?
Personally from him? You egotist!
You are part of a class ....be happy someone cares for you enough they get their butt out there to talk to you.
Show some humility.

Many people are rude to anyone who knocks on their door to try to sell them anything. May a suggest a no soliciting sign?
I try not to be rude to people just because we don't share the same mission.

And some religions cheat by sending good looking women to ask if you would like to hear the word, and when you say yes they promise to come back, but they send some weird looking smelly old people instead

You are very wrong. If you were a salesman which was your job how would you feel when people slammed the phone on you. These people have a belief and a very true one. You should listen to what they have to say.
