Humans exist in the universe. We are composed of components of the universe. We are made of atoms, just as rocks, planets, stars, galaxies are. The difference between us and all the other stuff is that we are self aware.

Given that we are aware of ourselves and the universe, and we are composed of the matter and energy of the universe, can it be said that the universe is self aware?

I am needing to email, chat, or talk on the phone to a priest in Bohol, Philippines concerning my upcoming wedding to my wonderful fiancee.

Any ideas on how I can find an email address or phone number? My girlfriend lives on another island, but we plan to get married in Bohol, where most of her family lives.

I am a non-catholic, and have many questions concerning the requirements to marry a Catholic Lady in the in the Philippines.

There is a part of the bible that states something about locusts in the end of times. I am 48 years YOUNG. Anyway, when I was a CHILD in Virginia, I remember a locust swarm that was horrible. Was THAT supposed to be the end of the world? I am pretty sure they swarm every so many years in different areas. Can someone clarify this in relation to the bible? Thank you.

Okay if you dont believe in Jesus Christ or anything that has to do with God, where do you think you will go when you die. Do you believe that your going to decay in your grave, do you believe that your going to go to heaven out of "good" behavior, or do you believe something like everyone's going to heaven. But if you dont believe in a "god" of somekind, how can you believe in an afterlife?

I want to know which you think is more important when it comes to letting others know about God and Christ and your faith. Should we concentrate more on words or examples? I think personally that examples or actions speak louder than words. Too many of us preach but don't teach and most people are hands on learners. You have to show them. Personally preaching is one of the things I didn't like about the Protestant church. Too much yelling. I prefer the Homily which is more of a talking about scripture and not yelling at us. To each his own.

Why are we being taught about "Cave Men" and Dinnosaurs? If God created Adam and Eve and they were supposed to the the first "People" ever created.

Christians try to convert people to Christianity because they only want to help save them so it would only be with good intentions. If that's the case then shouldn't people appreciate that someone else is trying to do something out of compassion for them, instead of getting offended?

If Jesus instructs his followers to pray in private (see below), why to Christians preach so much?

Matthew 6:5-6 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full."

" But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father who is unseen. Then your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

Actually this is meant as an apology for any perceived offenses and an actual question as to how I offended anyone when I asked what their purpose or drive was concerning living their lives. I really wasn't trying to insult Atheists or Agnostics. I truly wanted to know if you had your own ideas about life and how to live it. I am sorry if if came out wrong but please do not get defensive and presume everyone is judging. I am sure not in a position to judge anyone else. I wouldn't even want to have to be on a jury. Peace to All,Debra
