If Jesus instructs his followers to pray in private (see below), why to Christians preach so much?

Matthew 6:5-6 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full."

" But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father who is unseen. Then your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

I don't really want to know why Christian pray. But why they feel the need to preach in public?

Most people only meet people as 'Christian', when they are in fact preaching. And most of the people that preach (except in church), are newly reborn. It's a lot like a child with a new toy. Have patience, they'll tire of it. Your good reference material implies that you read the bible. So you're probably aware that all people aren't called to preach. What's your calling?

Preaching and Praying are different.
If you want to quote the Bible, Matthew 28:19 says "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations." And Romans 10:14 " How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?"
That's why we preach. Because we need to get the word out. I'll admit many do it the wrong way, but that's why we do it. Because (at least for me) I want to see you in Heaven when I die.

Preaching and praying are different things. Christians were commanded by Jesus to spread the Gospel. Now wouldnt it be cruel if only a couple people knew how to get to Heaven and didn't share it?

Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

As Christians, we are supposed to spread to good news about Jesus and God. As far as praying in public, it is not forbidden unless you are doing it for show. If you heart is sincere in what you are praying for and you are not making a spectacle, then it's okay.

Because we have something to talk about. But for reality, that refers to prayer, and that's an excerpt of the Bible, there are several other chapters. Jesus tells us at the end of Matthew 28

11 Then Jesus approached and said to them, "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19
Go, therefore, 12 and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit,
20
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. 13 And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age."

So we are called to teach and preach.

Prayer and spreading the word of God are two different things. The context of this passage was meant to say that when you are in personal prayer (confessional) this is done in private between you and God.

Spreading the word of God is not Praying and the Bible talks vividly about being a light unto the world, meaning that your actions should set you apart from others, that you are a man of faith, a man of god.

You Didn't Read The Rest Of It?....christians are commissioned by GOD to share the Gospel to those who wants to receive it!....That's why there are ministries even today!.....You need to stop kicking around scriptures and making accusations against christians and read the entire Bible, otherwise you'll become a Heretic And MAKING FALSE ACCUSATIONS AGAINST BELIEVERS WHO FOLLOW GOD'S WORD!.....Ps. True Believers Are Very Skilled In GOD'S WORD & SPIRIT, They Know when you're Not Real!......Watch Yourself!...
