Don't call me prejudiced or anything, I'm not trying to offend anyone. I have nothing against Muslims, but I don't really know much about them.

Are a lot of Muslims radical? When I say radical, I mean the terrorist type ones. Is it just a few? I'm just wondering.

What if the freeworld banded together and made everyone take an oath against terrorism? Anyone who refuses would become an enemy in the war against terrorism and could be killed on site by the military. Maybe an electonic mark could be used to mark those who have taken the oath against any kind of terrorism. Then you can be a Muslim or whatever religion as long as you agree not to kill people who don't agree with your religion. If you didn't have the mark, you would be arrested. What does anyone think?

I am not spiritual at all. My wife is tho'. and I admire her cuz she is open to every and all religions and I think her view of god and good/evil is very balanced and broad-minded.

Shouldn't all people who choose the path of spiritual enlightenment study lots of religions? I dont get how someone can be exposed to 1 religion and be so sure it is the one and only way.

Ya I know the bible says Jesus is the one and only way...but lots of books say lots of things.....why allow yourself to be pigeonholed???

Katharine Jefferts Schori, the Bishop-elect of the Episcopal Church, was asked, "Is belief in Jesus the only way to heaven?"

She replied, "We who practice the Christian tradition understand him (Jesus) as our vehicle to the divine.

"But for us to assume that God could not act in other ways is, I think, to put God in an awfully small box."

Is it possible to be a proud Christian yet respect/admire other religious traditions? YES!

I am very religious, but I am not Catholic. I have a question about Catholics though. Why do they abstain from using birth control, but then have sex outside of marriage. It seems so contradictory to me to claim to not use birth-control due to religious reasons, but then have sex and make babies out of wedlock, and not have any problem with that.

My father had a very negative impact on me throughout my life, right up until he died. I would even go so far as to say that I hated this man and his convoluted sense of spirituality. He and I argued about his "Christian" beliefs several times while he was trying to convert me, and in during these arguements tended to make himself look less well versed than he thought he was...(all Jews are Christians...) His minister Derrin, who I only met twice, once at diner and once at my sisters wedding, helped by setting him straight in his own faith. I had a great deal of resect for this man as he was genuinely interested in my world view. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a positive interaction with a spiritual leader?

I don't understand how some guys rib could create another human unless it was like cloneing or something. Why didn't god just make eve the same way as adam? Why did man come first? Why did he have nipples? Why not make humans unisex? If adam was created in gods image, why did god have a belly button? why did he have arms? does this mean that god is corporial?......or is evolution real and christianity all made up?

I've answered more than one "theological" question from people that I thought were sincerely searching for theological answers. But it turns out that many of them are only firing what they think is a "silver bullet" argument to Christianity. Then, without even remotely considering the acumen of the answers which deal with the issue in a consistent theological way, they choose the answer from the faceless guy who essentially farts out a brainless answer like: "That's a stupid question because God doesn't exist " or "Wake up, dummies. God doesn't exist" (a spellbinding argument, by the way). If you ask a theological question for the sake of showing us our inconsistencies, don't retreat back into "Well, I'm just an athiest so the question is stupid anyway." Don't stick your head into the realm of Theology and then pull it out when someone responds.
Frankly I consider more one line answers...proving my point yet again, but lets see what we get, shall we?

the real questions is: do you think that your soul/spirit has to go through many lives to obtain vast knowledge?

example: if you in this life were very happy and had no troubles at all, than it was "decided" that you had to learn about joy and happiness, but in the other hand if it were viseversa than you HAD to learn about sorrow and suffering to later pass on to gain more knowledge and step up the status of spirituality? and after that return to life, this phisical world and keep learning.

What do you think?

If YES, well, dont these kids have a life?

"Be fruitful and multiply." Isn't that what it says? So is it better for a man and a woman not to have kids even though they are married or for a gay couple to either adopt kids or have a surrogate mother. They may be fruity but they've multiplied.

Look, Jesus had brothers and sisters. Yes, Jesus' birth was a virgin birth and miracle, but she did not stay celibate after she had him. She was married after all AND the bible actually says that Jesus had bros. and sisters. Mark 3:31. Iknow that Jesus follows this with a possibly "deny", but the crowds people would certainly would know if he had a mother and brothers. There's another verse with sisters, but I can't remember where it is.
